The Best of The Rational Male – Year Six

Last weekend (August 19th) this blog entered into its seventh year, and once more it’s time to do the blog retrospective.

The Books

First and foremost last month I released the third installment in the books’ series, The Rational Male – Positive Masculinity. It’s about a month since its release now and I’ll admit it’s already exceeded my hopes and expectations. I know, everyone says that, but as I’ve learned, most authors struggle to match their earlier successes.

While this is still true of the first book (it still stands as the best seller and most popular) Positive Masculinity seems to resonate quite well with readers. I’ll admit I had some hesitation about focusing a quarter of the book on Red Pill Parenting, but this, it turns out, is exactly what’s catapulted it to a best seller in the Fatherhood and Parenting Boys sections on Amazon. For the initial four and a half weeks the book has held the number one best seller rank in Fatherhood and the number two and number five spot in  Parenting Boys. And for the first week and a half it held the number one best seller spot in Self Help.

At the risk of sounding like I’m glossing myself here, this is an incredible response when you consider the impact this book, written from a Red Pill perspective, might have in a mainstream reading world. It’s a great honor, but also a bit scary considering the social backlash of recent events. All the books continue to make inroads with men (and women) unfamiliar with Red Pill awareness, but the response to Positive Masculinity has been very promising so far. That said, the book is about much more than just parenting – which also adds to its overall appeal – so I’m hoping it will open some new eyes with regards to Red Pill awareness.

As things stand today, Sam Botta is finishing up the reading and mixing of the second book, Preventive Medicine. Sam is still struggling with medical complications due to his hit and run injuries (I’ll let him explain them in the comments), but the hope is still to have the Audible version of book two available in time for the 21 Convention at the end of September. For the audio of Positive Masculinity I’m still deciding as to whether I’ll do the read myself for this one, but my goal is to have it available in Q1 of 2018.

I should also add that the first book has seen its second retranslation. Beginning in Q4 The Rational Male will be available in Polish as well as the previous Korean version. I get a lot of readers asking for translations into Spanish and German (possibly Dutch too). This will be a priority for me in the coming year, so if you are a translator or know one who would like to partner with me to publish these translations please leave me a message on my About page.

Finally, I do have plans in the works to do a re-edit of the first book to address syntax, grammar and spelling issues. Contextually nothing will change, but once this revision is done I’ll be publishing a hardback version of The Rational Male through Barnes & Noble’s self-publishing format.

Blog Traffic

The blog continues to grow with regard to audience. 2016 had a slight decline from the previous year, and 2017 is on track to eclipse it, but the reach of The Rational Male still continues to grow.

I know Alexa.com isn’t the best metric, but it’s largely what most bloggers in the Manosphere use. These are the stats as of August 22, 2017 and I daresay these rankings are respectable for a Red Pill blog that’s never been monetized or advertised in six years. These numbers put me in good company amongst the most notable writers in the ‘sphere (as well as a few Purple Pill ‘life coaches’) and the blog continues to average just under half a million views per month. My general focus for the blog has always been as a delivery device for the message of Red Pill awareness, Game fundamentals and the unmoderated debate of intersexual dynamics. I’m pleased to see that in six years this discussion has proceeded in the same vein for all of them. Furthermore, I find it very encouraging when I’m told by Manosphere outsiders that The Rational Male is the best (sometimes their only) source for rational debate about Red Pill awareness and intersexual dynamics. I am not now, nor will I ever be interested in a Red Pill echo chamber/hug box and for six years the comment section has proven to be a ‘hot kitchen’ in which both critics and advocates can (largely) hash out the Red Pill details.

A lot has been made of free speech advocacy in the ‘sphere for a few years now. My stand has always been one about the free exchange of ideas. The only way an idea’s strength and merit can be tested is in the crucible of open debate. There are a great many Manosphere celebrities banging the gong about free speech who nonetheless block, edit and censor opinions they disagree with on their own forums. One purpose that this blog has is a free and open debate and (with the exception of spam and blatant trolling) will always be open to counterarguments.

The 21 Convention

As most of my regular readers are aware, I’ll be making my only in-person appearance at this year’s 21 Convention in Orlando, Florida, September 28 through October 1st. For more information on this event have a look at my rundown of it here. Furthermore, I’ve done a couple of interviews with 21 Convention founder Anthony Johnson about my participation and the talks I’ll be giving here and here.

If you haven’t made plans or purchased a weekend ticket I would encourage you to do so soon. The convention is getting close to being sold out, but if you have some issue with cost or you have some kind of hardship consideration and you really want to go, please contact myself or Anthony and we’ll work something out for you.

It bears repeating that I was less than enthusiastic about appearing not just publicly, but at this convention in particular. It’s always been my impression that the 21 Convention was a collection of largely Purple Pill dating coaches and not really in line with what (sometimes ugly) Red Pill awareness reveals to men. However, I’ve come to change my view of this convention in light of Anthony’s much more Red Pill focused line up for this 10th anniversary meet up. I’ll admit I had a hand in helping Anthony get what will amount to a Red Pill summit arranged. I really think this weekend will be a seminal event for Red Pill aware men and it’s my hope it will be something to help men change their lives.

This then is my very brief rundown of the 2016-2017 year for The Rational Male.

So here’s what I thought represents the best posts from year 6.

Let me know what your favorites were in the comments and let me know how TRM has helped you this year.

With humility and gratitude,

Rollo Tomassi

  1. Congrats rollo, awesome stuff all round, I cannot even imagine picking a fav.

    Your work always provokes me to challenge myself. It’s about the only RP I read anymore.

    Plus the hot kitchen brings it all to life in actionable ways with the merry band of brothers

    May you have a great year

  2. Thank you, congratulations, and God bless you for your work. I didn’t get around to commenting on your Confidence and the Safety Net post, but this site has arguably saved my sanity and, quite possibly, my life.

  3. I just made it through five amazing years of Best Ofs and now here comes Year Six? You’ll all be gaming Amazon sexbots and hitting on VR10s by the time I catch up to this blog in real time

  4. Rollo

    Thank you for your service to men everywhere.

    It doesn’t surprise me that your books are best sellers in those categories.

    I think that we will soon reach a tipping point where the mainstream become aware of (your) RP ideals.

    You only have to have each man refer two more and the numbers explode exponentially.

    The old penny on the first square of a chessboard thing, double the amount each next square.. sounds easy right?

    This is happening with the search stats on MGTOW.

    A lot of people won’t like the message but you will help a lot of men.

    You know my thoughts on your association with the 21 convention, I still think these associations are a mistake and you should remain an island.

    I wish you the very best of luck.

  5. @Rollo: thank you for your articles and hosting the comments sections, including the excellent Field Reports section. My thanks also to the community for many enlightening comments.

  6. TRM is THE standout site in the
    Manosphere.

    It’s my reference manual when it comes to intersexual dynamics, I owe you a massive debt of gratitude for opening my eyes to the realities of how things really work versus the Disney romantic fantasy.

    I truly believe that the knowledge available from TRM is as valuable to a man as any degree he may obtain from university/college and it’s FREE!

    Keep up the good work Rollo, men NEED this information more than ever before, the notion that women are the romantic sex needs kicking to the kerb for good.

    The information on this site if read, re-read, understood, internalised and Actioned can literally be life changing!

    Complimenti signore Rollo you have helped many more men than you will ever know.

    Other notable shout outs go to;

    Illimitable men for extra insight into female nature and the dark triad personality trifecta.

    Blackdragon blog is quite good for men who are no longer interested in a monogamous lifestyle.

  7. Congrats Rollo. All the best for the 7th Year. Just received my copy of “The Rational Male – Positive Masculinity”. Can’t thank you enough.

  8. In my journey of unplugging from the Blue Pill Matrix, the most helpful blogs for unfiltered Red Pill knowledge have been:
    – The Rational Male
    – Black Label Logic
    – Illimitable Men

  9. Congrats Rollo. Hats off.

    Reflection:

    After reading Straus, I realized that there was a time PUA became a very popular movement; a craze. However it seems to me that most of the PUA gurus have since moved on in search of a “deeper experience” after coming head on with an inner craving for “a deeper connection”. Probably the fad that had been the PUA movement withered because of the kid-with-dynamite thing happening to both Mystery, Style, and probably Roosh too.

    I hope nothing of the sort happens to Red Pill.

  10. “I hope nothing of the sort happens to Red Pill”

    Actually it has. While TRP used to be filled with anger phase posts (women are sluts with poor impulse control), it is now about self improvement (today highly upvoted post “Work on yourself, as only you are important. Dress well, get a haircut, work out, work on your social skills, professional skills, tone of voice, mentality, view on life and your own interests and passions”). Likewise some guy might have written about a book about Preventive Medicine might now write a book about Positive Masculinity, and that book could be #1 about fatherhood.

  11. Cheupez

    The problem with PUA as an ethos is that it is merely a tool and won’t replace maturing emotionally. So you see all the PUAs (except Mystery) that have been in it a while lurch towards “transformations” or some other “growing up” act beyond poosy uner alles.

    The problem though is they are still emotionally immature and needy and just replace poosy with some other made up thing to signal they are grown.

    The End of an Era: Time to say goodbye to the 1972 Corvette Stingray mentioned in the first chapter of The Game. Will sell to a reader who appreciates it significantly below the market valuation. Very few grasp the opportunity to live a Dynamic, Passionate and Authentic life. Chiefly because they don’t know who they really are, they are immature and lack authenticity.

    Inteesting that Rollo is speaking on authenticity at 21.

    An Essay on Man: Epistle I
    BY ALEXANDER POPE
    To Henry St. John, Lord Bolingbroke
    Awake, my St. John! leave all meaner things
    To low ambition, and the pride of kings.
    Let us (since life can little more supply
    Than just to look about us and to die)
    Expatiate free o’er all this scene of man;
    A mighty maze! but not without a plan;
    A wild, where weeds and flow’rs promiscuous shoot;
    Or garden, tempting with forbidden fruit.
    Together let us beat this ample field,
    Try what the open, what the covert yield;
    The latent tracts, the giddy heights explore
    Of all who blindly creep, or sightless soar;
    Eye Nature’s walks, shoot folly as it flies,
    And catch the manners living as they rise;
    Laugh where we must, be candid where we can;
    But vindicate the ways of God to man.

    I.
    Say first, of God above, or man below,
    What can we reason, but from what we know?
    Of man what see we, but his station here,
    From which to reason, or to which refer?
    Through worlds unnumber’d though the God be known,
    ‘Tis ours to trace him only in our own.
    He, who through vast immensity can pierce,
    See worlds on worlds compose one universe,
    Observe how system into system runs,
    What other planets circle other suns,
    What varied being peoples ev’ry star,
    May tell why Heav’n has made us as we are.
    But of this frame the bearings, and the ties,
    The strong connections, nice dependencies,
    Gradations just, has thy pervading soul
    Look’d through? or can a part contain the whole?

    Is the great chain, that draws all to agree,
    And drawn supports, upheld by God, or thee?

    II.
    Presumptuous man! the reason wouldst thou find,
    Why form’d so weak, so little, and so blind?
    First, if thou canst, the harder reason guess,
    Why form’d no weaker, blinder, and no less!
    Ask of thy mother earth, why oaks are made
    Taller or stronger than the weeds they shade?
    Or ask of yonder argent fields above,
    Why Jove’s satellites are less than Jove?

    Of systems possible, if ’tis confest
    That Wisdom infinite must form the best,
    Where all must full or not coherent be,
    And all that rises, rise in due degree;
    Then, in the scale of reas’ning life, ’tis plain
    There must be somewhere, such a rank as man:
    And all the question (wrangle e’er so long)
    Is only this, if God has plac’d him wrong?

    Respecting man, whatever wrong we call,
    May, must be right, as relative to all.
    In human works, though labour’d on with pain,
    A thousand movements scarce one purpose gain;
    In God’s, one single can its end produce;
    Yet serves to second too some other use.
    So man, who here seems principal alone,
    Perhaps acts second to some sphere unknown,
    Touches some wheel, or verges to some goal;
    ‘Tis but a part we see, and not a whole.

    When the proud steed shall know why man restrains
    His fiery course, or drives him o’er the plains:
    When the dull ox, why now he breaks the clod,
    Is now a victim, and now Egypt’s God:
    Then shall man’s pride and dulness comprehend
    His actions’, passions’, being’s, use and end;
    Why doing, suff’ring, check’d, impell’d; and why
    This hour a slave, the next a deity.

    Then say not man’s imperfect, Heav’n in fault;
    Say rather, man’s as perfect as he ought:
    His knowledge measur’d to his state and place,
    His time a moment, and a point his space.
    If to be perfect in a certain sphere,
    What matter, soon or late, or here or there?
    The blest today is as completely so,
    As who began a thousand years ago.

    III.
    Heav’n from all creatures hides the book of fate,
    All but the page prescrib’d, their present state:
    From brutes what men, from men what spirits know:
    Or who could suffer being here below?
    The lamb thy riot dooms to bleed today,
    Had he thy reason, would he skip and play?
    Pleas’d to the last, he crops the flow’ry food,
    And licks the hand just rais’d to shed his blood.
    Oh blindness to the future! kindly giv’n,
    That each may fill the circle mark’d by Heav’n:
    Who sees with equal eye, as God of all,
    A hero perish, or a sparrow fall,
    Atoms or systems into ruin hurl’d,
    And now a bubble burst, and now a world.

    Hope humbly then; with trembling pinions soar;
    Wait the great teacher Death; and God adore!
    What future bliss, he gives not thee to know,
    But gives that hope to be thy blessing now.
    Hope springs eternal in the human breast:
    Man never is, but always to be blest:
    The soul, uneasy and confin’d from home,
    Rests and expatiates in a life to come.

    Lo! the poor Indian, whose untutor’d mind
    Sees God in clouds, or hears him in the wind;
    His soul, proud science never taught to stray
    Far as the solar walk, or milky way;
    Yet simple nature to his hope has giv’n,
    Behind the cloud-topt hill, an humbler heav’n;
    Some safer world in depth of woods embrac’d,
    Some happier island in the wat’ry waste,
    Where slaves once more their native land behold,
    No fiends torment, no Christians thirst for gold.
    To be, contents his natural desire,
    He asks no angel’s wing, no seraph’s fire;
    But thinks, admitted to that equal sky,
    His faithful dog shall bear him company.

    IV.
    Go, wiser thou! and, in thy scale of sense
    Weigh thy opinion against Providence;
    Call imperfection what thou fanciest such,
    Say, here he gives too little, there too much:
    Destroy all creatures for thy sport or gust,
    Yet cry, if man’s unhappy, God’s unjust;
    If man alone engross not Heav’n’s high care,
    Alone made perfect here, immortal there:
    Snatch from his hand the balance and the rod,
    Rejudge his justice, be the God of God.
    In pride, in reas’ning pride, our error lies;
    All quit their sphere, and rush into the skies.
    Pride still is aiming at the blest abodes,
    Men would be angels, angels would be gods.
    Aspiring to be gods, if angels fell,
    Aspiring to be angels, men rebel:
    And who but wishes to invert the laws
    Of order, sins against th’ Eternal Cause.

    V.
    Ask for what end the heav’nly bodies shine,
    Earth for whose use? Pride answers, ” ‘Tis for mine:
    For me kind Nature wakes her genial pow’r,
    Suckles each herb, and spreads out ev’ry flow’r;
    Annual for me, the grape, the rose renew,
    The juice nectareous, and the balmy dew;
    For me, the mine a thousand treasures brings;
    For me, health gushes from a thousand springs;
    Seas roll to waft me, suns to light me rise;
    My foot-stool earth, my canopy the skies.”

    But errs not Nature from this gracious end,
    From burning suns when livid deaths descend,
    When earthquakes swallow, or when tempests sweep
    Towns to one grave, whole nations to the deep?
    “No, (’tis replied) the first Almighty Cause
    Acts not by partial, but by gen’ral laws;
    Th’ exceptions few; some change since all began:
    And what created perfect?”—Why then man?
    If the great end be human happiness,
    Then Nature deviates; and can man do less?
    As much that end a constant course requires
    Of show’rs and sunshine, as of man’s desires;
    As much eternal springs and cloudless skies,
    As men for ever temp’rate, calm, and wise.
    If plagues or earthquakes break not Heav’n’s design,
    Why then a Borgia, or a Catiline?
    Who knows but he, whose hand the lightning forms,
    Who heaves old ocean, and who wings the storms,
    Pours fierce ambition in a Cæsar’s mind,
    Or turns young Ammon loose to scourge mankind?
    From pride, from pride, our very reas’ning springs;
    Account for moral, as for nat’ral things:
    Why charge we Heav’n in those, in these acquit?
    In both, to reason right is to submit.

    Better for us, perhaps, it might appear,
    Were there all harmony, all virtue here;
    That never air or ocean felt the wind;
    That never passion discompos’d the mind.
    But ALL subsists by elemental strife;
    And passions are the elements of life.
    The gen’ral order, since the whole began,
    Is kept in nature, and is kept in man.

    VI.
    What would this man? Now upward will he soar,
    And little less than angel, would be more;
    Now looking downwards, just as griev’d appears
    To want the strength of bulls, the fur of bears.
    Made for his use all creatures if he call,
    Say what their use, had he the pow’rs of all?
    Nature to these, without profusion, kind,
    The proper organs, proper pow’rs assign’d;
    Each seeming want compensated of course,
    Here with degrees of swiftness, there of force;
    All in exact proportion to the state;
    Nothing to add, and nothing to abate.
    Each beast, each insect, happy in its own:
    Is Heav’n unkind to man, and man alone?
    Shall he alone, whom rational we call,
    Be pleas’d with nothing, if not bless’d with all?

    The bliss of man (could pride that blessing find)
    Is not to act or think beyond mankind;
    No pow’rs of body or of soul to share,
    But what his nature and his state can bear.
    Why has not man a microscopic eye?
    For this plain reason, man is not a fly.
    Say what the use, were finer optics giv’n,
    T’ inspect a mite, not comprehend the heav’n?
    Or touch, if tremblingly alive all o’er,
    To smart and agonize at ev’ry pore?
    Or quick effluvia darting through the brain,
    Die of a rose in aromatic pain?
    If nature thunder’d in his op’ning ears,
    And stunn’d him with the music of the spheres,
    How would he wish that Heav’n had left him still
    The whisp’ring zephyr, and the purling rill?
    Who finds not Providence all good and wise,
    Alike in what it gives, and what denies?

    VII.
    Far as creation’s ample range extends,
    The scale of sensual, mental pow’rs ascends:
    Mark how it mounts, to man’s imperial race,
    From the green myriads in the peopled grass:
    What modes of sight betwixt each wide extreme,
    The mole’s dim curtain, and the lynx’s beam:
    Of smell, the headlong lioness between,
    And hound sagacious on the tainted green:
    Of hearing, from the life that fills the flood,
    To that which warbles through the vernal wood:
    The spider’s touch, how exquisitely fine!
    Feels at each thread, and lives along the line:
    In the nice bee, what sense so subtly true
    From pois’nous herbs extracts the healing dew:
    How instinct varies in the grov’lling swine,
    Compar’d, half-reas’ning elephant, with thine:
    ‘Twixt that, and reason, what a nice barrier;
    For ever sep’rate, yet for ever near!
    Remembrance and reflection how allied;
    What thin partitions sense from thought divide:
    And middle natures, how they long to join,
    Yet never pass th’ insuperable line!
    Without this just gradation, could they be
    Subjected, these to those, or all to thee?
    The pow’rs of all subdu’d by thee alone,
    Is not thy reason all these pow’rs in one?

    VIII.
    See, through this air, this ocean, and this earth,
    All matter quick, and bursting into birth.
    Above, how high, progressive life may go!
    Around, how wide! how deep extend below!
    Vast chain of being, which from God began,
    Natures ethereal, human, angel, man,
    Beast, bird, fish, insect! what no eye can see,
    No glass can reach! from infinite to thee,
    From thee to nothing!—On superior pow’rs
    Were we to press, inferior might on ours:
    Or in the full creation leave a void,
    Where, one step broken, the great scale’s destroy’d:
    From nature’s chain whatever link you strike,
    Tenth or ten thousandth, breaks the chain alike.

    And, if each system in gradation roll
    Alike essential to th’ amazing whole,
    The least confusion but in one, not all
    That system only, but the whole must fall.
    Let earth unbalanc’d from her orbit fly,
    Planets and suns run lawless through the sky;
    Let ruling angels from their spheres be hurl’d,
    Being on being wreck’d, and world on world;
    Heav’n’s whole foundations to their centre nod,
    And nature tremble to the throne of God.
    All this dread order break—for whom? for thee?
    Vile worm!—Oh madness, pride, impiety!

    IX.
    What if the foot ordain’d the dust to tread,
    Or hand to toil, aspir’d to be the head?
    What if the head, the eye, or ear repin’d
    To serve mere engines to the ruling mind?
    Just as absurd for any part to claim
    To be another, in this gen’ral frame:
    Just as absurd, to mourn the tasks or pains,
    The great directing Mind of All ordains.

    All are but parts of one stupendous whole,
    Whose body Nature is, and God the soul;
    That, chang’d through all, and yet in all the same,
    Great in the earth, as in th’ ethereal frame,
    Warms in the sun, refreshes in the breeze,
    Glows in the stars, and blossoms in the trees,
    Lives through all life, extends through all extent,
    Spreads undivided, operates unspent,
    Breathes in our soul, informs our mortal part,
    As full, as perfect, in a hair as heart;
    As full, as perfect, in vile man that mourns,
    As the rapt seraph that adores and burns;
    To him no high, no low, no great, no small;
    He fills, he bounds, connects, and equals all.

    X.
    Cease then, nor order imperfection name:
    Our proper bliss depends on what we blame.
    Know thy own point: This kind, this due degree
    Of blindness, weakness, Heav’n bestows on thee.
    Submit.—In this, or any other sphere,
    Secure to be as blest as thou canst bear:
    Safe in the hand of one disposing pow’r,
    Or in the natal, or the mortal hour.
    All nature is but art, unknown to thee;
    All chance, direction, which thou canst not see;
    All discord, harmony, not understood;
    All partial evil, universal good:
    And, spite of pride, in erring reason’s spite,
    One truth is clear, Whatever is, is right.

  13. @redlight, I see this shift too. My concern is that the ‘self-improvement’ angle is making any critical analysis of women, their behaviors and the purpose behind them sound like a man is complaining about women and his lot in life.

    Men are at various stages of their unplugging and have different needs in that new awareness. There’s a big push to simply blow off guy’s asking simple questions or venting about whatever stage of unplugging they’re experiencing. It’s getting to the point where the message is “don’t worry about how women are, just lift, don’t fap, make bank and be a ‘man’ and chicks will sort themselves out.” This comes dangerously close to a more simplistic version of Dream Girls and Children with Dynamite.

  14. thanks Rollo, you did a great job (as usual) of articulating something I had a nagging concern with. I was reading a question on ASKMRP, about a guy concerned his wife might be going on a date like activity. The core answer is that there are no shortcuts, quick fixes, so Lift, STFU, read, reduce bf%, lead, dread etc. Okay, but no use closing the barn door after the cow has left the building.

  15. If any man has doubts about the necessity of Rollo’s “Red pill parenting” section, take a close look at the Amazon graphic in this posting. Count the number of “Strong mom” books. Sure, we all know that women frivorce men from time to time and wind up as Strong/Independent Single Moms, but how many does it take to create a market? A lot. When I work around college men I remind myself that about 40% of them come from busted homes.

    It’s like walking into a used book store to the “relationship help” section and seeing all the junk thought, blue pill pushers and out right feminist cowshit on the shelves. Gottman looks sane by comparison, even though his latest books are deeply polluted with the FI. Imagine being a blue pill betaized AFC who is trying to “fix” his marriage and his wife, on a budget – and that’s what you see. All the more reason to buy extra copies of Rollo’s books, either to give away, or to outright sell to used bookstores. See if your local library will take one as a donation. Don’t hoard this knowledge.

    Rollo: as always, the graphic at the top of the post is simply perfect.

  16. @ Rollo

    Props for the artwork! Didn’t see it when I first read the article. You rarely miss the mark in this aspect.

    I actually did lol. Don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing?

  17. I don’t get how Mystery is not in the Dynamite League. If I got Strauss right, towards the end of Project Hollywood Mystery almost died of oneitis and it would appear to me he has never been the same ever since.

    I would strongly agree with Sensei. Understanding the nature of women is more important than just having game. I think it comes down to that a man completely digesting and internalizing the inner workings of the female psyche. Such a man is better equiped even without game to navigate the minefield that is intergender dynamics.

    I remember laughing quietly reading some of the stuff in here. A man must dogest well some of the stuff that has been so aptly put in here. Stuff like:

    “In Short Term Mating situations “Dads” can go fuck themselves as far as women are concerned”,

    and

    “whever she is ovulating, whenever the He-ing and She-ing is about to get real real, the realest real there is as a part of human existence, girlfriend wants “Good Genes”. And those “Good Genes”, at least as far as what that egg is telling her eyes what is good, are signaled by Arrogance, Confrontational Attitude, Muscles. And then after these three, somewhere down the scale, Looks. And money, status, social position, even though very important in long term sucker hunting, were irrelevant in those 48 hours when she is “Ready for Freddie”.

    And a million other quotes.

    Because of course the improvement stuff about tone of voice, lift, don’t fap, make bank be a man etc is basically just game. More important is to understand the nature of women. Even a chode equipped with such knowledge knows what the woman is thinking. That is the real dynamite.

    Thanks for this place @Rollo.

  18. “One purpose that this blog has is a free and open debate and (with the exception of spam and blatant trolling) will always be open to counterarguments.”

    LOL! You are very funny, Tomassi. I love your idealism, but in practice it does leave something to be desired.

    I was going to see how long it would take you to ban me again, but alas I have a life.

  19. take a close look at the Amazon graphic in this posting

    Still hilarious. Trojan Horse.

    When I work around college men I remind myself that about 40% of them come from busted homes.

    I know a young school teacher (woman, fresh college grad), just starting out this week with a 4th grade class in Texas. 19 mixed race students of both sexes, 13 have no live at home father figure.

  20. Now that I look at that again, the students are not mixed race. There are several races represented in the class. The point being that heroic single moms abound more and more.

  21. Thanks for a fantastic year of your brand of Red Pill Awareness and Game.

    Correct me if I’m wrong Cheupez, and Redlight, but this issue is having all the bases covered for a man. Enlightened self-interests, masculine self-improvement (when needed), Red-Pill intersexual awareness and Game.

    @Redlight, in the AskMRP thread that you are referring, I believe some of the answers by some of the more senior masters of MRP covered the bases pretty well, on acceptance of how things were for the OP-er the nuances of mate guarding and clues on how to be contextual Alpha when recovering from Beta frame in the process of Red Pill and Relationship Game Mastery. And I think they gave good answers to a newbie whose filly was trying to exit the barn. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Rollo really cares about any of the cases that present to triage. He may not be able to save them, but he will hear their case out.

    As Rollo wrote in Mate Guarding:

    “Using strategic pluralism theory as a guide, we can see how mate guarding behavior in predominantly Beta men would have evolved out of necessity. While women (in the past) may have to face trade-offs in weighing genetics versus provisioning, vows of fidelity do little to quell her arousal for Alpha seed when she’s in the proliferate phase of her cycle. In fact I’d argue that the advent of monogamy and monogamous marriage itself is a mate guarding strategy evolved by the meta-interests of Beta men (the most numerous men).

    Just to end this on a positive note, I think it’s important to remember that through Game, self-betterment physically & educationally and red pill awareness men aren’t doomed to the absolutes strategic pluralism outlines. In fact this theory, I think accurately, only defines the contingencies and logical outcomes of the SMP – it’s not outlining determinism, it’s illustrating probablism . It doesn’t mean a man can’t transform himself into a contextual Alpha.”

    *Strategic pluralism (meaning feminine dual strategy) refers to the notion that “multiple, even contradictory behavioral strategies might be adaptive in certain environments and would therefore be maintained through natural selection”

    In order to be happy, self actualized and have a successful sexual strategy, a man must be successful on each and every one of a range of criteria e.g: sexual attraction, red pill awareness, masculine virtues, Game, in Acceptance of his station in life, able to move toward Mastery and be in the competent phases, and be committed to self-betterment physically & educationally . Failure on only one of these counts leads to unhappiness. Thus there are more ways for a man to be unhappy than happy.

    In other words: Have all your bases covered in the fashion of The Anna Karenina Principle.

    That’s where I think Rollo’s brand of Red Pill shines. He takes all of the variables into account.

  22. “I love your idealism, but in practice it does leave something to be desired.”

    Not this shit again….

    He said free and open debate. Not free and easy debate for your side of the debate you solipsist. Stop whining about your participation award not showing up in your inbox. Or that lack of debaters coming to your hug-box.

  23. SJF – good to see you trot out the *concise* verbal jab every now and then; use ’em or lose ’em 😉

  24. @SJF
    Game has a lot to do with how you appear to women. Appearing cool=good game.

    BUT: In interacting with girls, the core requirement from understanding RP will be his ability to differentiate transactional vs validation sex: even before p in v. Armed with the knowledge, even a chode can make an objective evaluation of himself and then of the women he interacts with, and he can tell where he is likely to be on her scale: (want to fuck vs willing to fuck vs will not fuck). When he is dealing with women he can smartly categorize them into:
    1.She genuinely enjoys my dick vs
    2. Credits to her for the effort in trying so hard to pretend to be enjoying my dick in exchange for resources vs
    3. I understand now that the level of disgust is beyong tolerable. Hasta la vista.

    And that with a mind so clear that Disney Love is a figment of imagination. He will know well that any woman who tries to pretend to genuine desire in a negotiated arrangement will evetually tire of it and sign off/out. Period.

    Such a man may be unhappy with such knowledge, deny, get pissed off, bargain (even try to revisit Disney fantasies heheeee), depression, then accept: swallow the truth (pill) and move with inner peace with knowledge. Such a man is good to go. I dont care how a fat, videogame couch potato he is. He knows the deal with the girl moaning under him. And he can order his priorities accordingly.

  25. @Cheupez

    I don’t disagree with your sentiments. But we’re on different ends of the spectrum.

    My point was that Rollo is astute to cover the bases and skilled enough to not water down Red Pill Truths. But he still keeps it away from purple pill (which has saved my ass a number of times–thanks for that Rollo and the great commenters here.) He’s also got the balls to even mention enlightened self improvement. And add to that his great emphasis on Masculinity. And his publicly decrying Equalism.

    I posted that comment because I thought You and Redlight, then Rollo were saying slightly different things about the deficiencies outside of Rollo’s site (which are there) and I was merely trying to gloss Rollo as to the fact those deficiencies are not on TRM.

    And thankfully, I never had to be very unhappy with such knowledge, deny, get pissed off, bargain (even try to revisit Disney fantasies heheeee), get depressed, then Accept.

    Ok, well maybe I do disagree slightly with this:

    He will know well that any woman who tries to pretend to genuine desire in a negotiated arrangement will evetually tire of it and sign off/out. Period.

    There is quite a bit of evidence on MRP reddit that this is not the case. And I can tell you for now I was able to turn negotiated desire around in marriage with a big thanks to Rollo, and a big supplement of MRP reddit. (I didn’t have blinders on, and nothing is ever secure going forward, but that doesn’t prevent me from my goal of un-mitigated desire sex.) That’s why I say we are opposite ends of a spectrum. But I still have a huge desire for guys like me and you attempt to be part of the same Tribe in Rollo’s Red Pill Brand. And I think that’s entirely possible because of Rollo’s work and his open discussion policy in comments. That’s why I don’t really think you or I are at odds or debating anything per se. Just making comments.

    @Dr Zipper

    I’ve been practicing on forums and blogs for 15 years. Including non red pill or Game forums. (When I started here, I self admit that my posting style left something to be desired, including among other faults, it’s psychological “pressure-of-speech” symptoms. I did get better.)

    I changed my posting personality quite a bit two years ago on a sportsman’s forum (hunting and fishing) that also had general and political discussions. The change came from understanding the mechanics of tribal behavior among men. And to some degree red pill. (You’d be surprised, when you put your Tribal Lenses on, at some of the underlying motivations or tactics here in mano a mano debate on TRM.)

    And had a blast along with some red pill buddies freaking the members out with concise jabs. Esp. after the Trump election with all the White Knight Blue Pill crowd there. Also with all the tribal sparring there. Lots of fun was had among our tribal buddies there. Part of that was seeing how things operated under the hood much more clearly. I could understand the motives of the commenters (hence my jab at Innanity here.)

    And believe you me, I’m not feeding the Insanity Troll. I’m merely self amusing.

  26. “…some of the underlying motivations or tactics here in mano a mano debate on TRM…”

    not sure what you have in mind exactly, but let’s hear some of it; if you need a victim/volunteer, I’m game (hehe)

    it’s fun to try an pick apart these social dynamics, kinda like people watching and trying to figure out what’s going on just by their non-verbals

    lotsa RP/IRL applicability, no doubt

  27. Rollo your book success is gonna push you into mainstream pop culture. We will see you on TV one day doing interviews. Good times. I have liked all your work this year except the reconstruction part 3 and 4. I don’t know why. In about a year from now I should be off the child’s support indentured servant phase of my life. What I want to do is get me a PC and wifi and satalite hook up and all that stuff. Id like go back and read your work from years ago. It’s just to much trouble with a I-phone

  28. @ insanity

    We can all see your need for Rollos 8========D. But give it up girl it ain’t never going to happen!

    If however you ever find yourself in the UK and you are at least an HB6 I’ll take you for a roll around the sheets as you crazy girls sure know how to Fuck.

  29. I’m thinking as it’s such a big ask that maybe I need to set up a crowdfunding page to pay for my expenses.

    I believe PTSD therapy doesn’t come cheap!

    What seems reasonable? £50k ?

  30. @Dr. Zipper

    “not sure what you have in mind exactly, but let’s hear some of it; if you need a victim/volunteer, I’m game (hehe)”

    Great inquiry you got there.

    I just got back from a lavish sushi dinner. Lots of sashimi and near zero carbs for diabetic me. Outside in 75 degree weather with a hint of threatened rain. My wife had a messed up stomach before and after dinner, so we skipped golfing and dinner at the country club. She’s on the couch watching Master Chef Ramsey show.)

    There is such a thing as Mastery in commenting on blogs. It has value. (Don’t tell that to Mersonia or Innanity, though. Let them just fumble through.)

    Back in the old days on the sportsman’s forum, there would be back and forth shit arguments just like goes on here. We used to gang up in tribes and go back and forth. There were the somewhat wealthy, the landowners, the semi-purists at deer hunting, the guys that had lots of success or not. The guys that were happy and healthy with their own brand of hunting. Then there were the whiners, the bitchers, the cryers about what sucked and this shouldn’t be like it is and we should have the hunting regulations be this.

    At one point it got really fast and furious in the discussions. Some guy “bootcamp” for whitetail deer hunting got in the game of selling bootcamps for $800 for a two day summit on his optimized small micro manipulated hunting grounds would swear all the participants to secrecy over his 150 bullet point tactics for hunting deer. The guys that went would rave about it, but taunt the guys that didn’t go there with stuff like: You’re doing it all wrong, but I’m sworn to secrecy on how to do it right, so Na, Na, Na, Na Na. You are doing it wrong, but I’m doing it right cause I went to the bootcamp. When all it was was a Mastery and Competence and Confidence issue. Straight up just either know deer hunting and deer habitat by learned or natural Mastery.

    Any one see any analogies to Game yet?

    Of course you do. Same damn thing as PUA bootcamps. And the discussions that follow. But the discussions that follow on blogs and reddit follow a type of rhythmic patter with a lot of sub-communication. ( Not that MRP reddit uses lots and lots of Overt communication. Because it is dedicated to the masculine. Note that blue pill converts to Red Pill forums use a lot of feminine attempted or achieved sub-communication.)

    Well a couple years later (which would be 4 to 4 1/2 years ago), I read Jack Donovan’s The Way of Men very early in my Manosphere career. That was a fucking game changer and the tribal nuances and the tactical virtues of being good at being a man came into clear view. It was a primer on “learning” the lost art of masculinity for those that had never learned it.

    That combined with fungible Game tactics including PUA game tactics.

    See all the game tactics of attracting, comforting and seducing woman played into non-sexual tribal cohesiveness.

    Shit testing for mettle, demonstrating mettle. The Art of Amog. Trust. Mentoring. Ingroup altruism. Strength, courage, mastery, honor among men. All that shit was learnable and doable.
    Men operate in a meritocracy and in a hierarchy.

    And in the virtual world, the art of Game was also learnable. Online tribalism is just a mirror of what happens in male tribes in Real Life. It’s just that with the information age, no one puts boots on the ground and gets out in real life and has a tribal culture. “Our” group put our boots on the ground and went out and got together, especially in the woods and had lots and lots of tribal experiences, reference experiences and peak experiences. And a lot of our interests were all very aligned with whitetail deer habitat. The amount of action on manipulating deer habitat with strength courage, mastery and honor among men amounted to a hell of a lot of value.

    And all that tribal experience with other men resulted in a profound ability for me to engage well in married red pill game.

    In our discussions here there is a lot of status jockeying here on TRM. Lots of attempted DHV and qualifying. Quite a lot of Amoging. It’s all totally normal masculine tribal behavior. And it is a great thing.

    The value of hanging with the big boys and the value of helping those that need help coming along in the tribe and that actually want to be part of the tribe is just a great life mirroring experience.

    And one of the great values, and DHV per se, in inter-sexual relationships, (no matter what kind) is being able to socialize with your women among other high value men and women. The art of socialization is a mastered skill (whether natural or learned). It keeps any platform of a relationship calibrated to reality. Your job is to control your reality, not be stymied by it.

  31. IB – I’m sure whatever is our problem, if we’d just do things your way everything would be fine; I’m more interested in hearing what you think we, as men, should do to make you happy; regardless of where we are now, what end goal should we strive to be as evolved as you?

    seriously, you have a magic wand to make it happen…. let’s hear it

  32. “What compels grown men to post pics of vomiting and whales whenever sex is mentioned? Is it shame? Is it a need to feel in control?”

    I hit a bit too close to home,didn’t I?

    I’m sorry, whoever did that to you, whatever taught you that, it’s a tragedy. It’s heartbreaking and sad to see. It’s a kind of theft of something that is really quite beautiful and some of you don’t even realize what was stolen.

  33. c’mon sjf, get your hands dirty, pick some situation here in the comments that the regular readers might know of; plenty of brisk dialog to choose from lol…. then deconstruct and/or identify specific moments that illustrate some of your concepts mentioned above

    don’t worry about hurting any feelings, fuck em

  34. Shame,fear, a need for control, in men those things often manifest themselves in sexual crudity, vulgarity, aggressiveness. I’m not complaining,it just is what it is.

  35. ” I’m sorry, whoever did that to you, whatever taught you that, it’s a tragedy. It’s heartbreaking and sad to see. It’s a kind of theft of something that is really quite beautiful and some of you don’t even realize what was stolen.”

    I knew it was stolen from me. And yes, it was something beautiful….. like this

    But I did get it back. Without an engine and transmission.

    I don’t know who it was that did this to me.

  36. Bytes
    “What compels grown men to post pics of vomiting and whales whenever sex is mentioned? Is it shame? Is it a need to feel in control?”

    No, dearie, it’s just you.

  37. ” Shame,fear, a need for control, in men those things often manifest themselves in sexual crudity, vulgarity, aggressiveness. I’m not complaining,it just is what it is.”

    Lol.

    Nah, you got it bass ackwards.

    The stuff you mentioned usually result in the opposites of what you state.

    There is no such thing as ” sexual crudity “.

    ” Vulgarity ” is subjective.

    ” Aggressiveness ” gets shit done…. oh, was that vulgar?

    Some women want to eliminate male ” aggressiveness “. They are called feminist . They traffic in shame and fear. They’d like us to be like women, but we are smart enough to know that women hate women.

    If I believed in ” crudity ” ( lol ), the most crude sexual thing I could imagine, if I were to ask 10 women to engage in the crudity, 2 are going to be thrilled and comply.

    Consenting adults. Feminist hate that shit ( more vulgarity on my part. You’re welcome ).

  38. “c’mon sjf, get your hands dirty, pick some situation here in the comments that the regular readers might know of; plenty of brisk dialog to choose from lol…. then deconstruct and/or identify specific moments that illustrate some of your concepts mentioned above”

    Well a lot of what I could’ve pointed out in that regard happened in 2015 with ScribblerG and Forge the Sky. There was a lot of totally different personalities. I do distinctly remember ScribblerG being quite the Amog and I used a few Art of Amog (Rollo’s essay, searchable). And Forge the Sky was just the nicest younger guy ever.

    And it would take too many words to give an overview of what happened here in the Great Debates of 2016 and the OMG’s vs. YSG’s. That was a prime example of Primal warfare. And it did not turn out well. But that was what I was talking about. (And it wasn’t my side of Red Pill tribalism that took their ball and went home. Nor will I take blame for driving the other side away. I’m not apologetic about that at all. I was just being congruent to my mission and perpose, with a side of not being afraid to speak my mind.)

    You took me by surprise by the request, Dr Zipper. A lot of what I witnesses in the undercurrents happened quite a while ago. Now some of the roles are more defined and less fought for among the more longstanding commenters.

    And in the past three years ago, there was a lot of taking sides and reformulating sides. I grew up with three brothers and no sisters (and a great kind mother, so I never had any madonna/whore tendencies, but that’s a digression.) and as was usual for untaught not fully formed males. We always had the tendency for two of us to be a tribe against the other two. But then give it some time and we switched mates and it was two other two against each other two.

    There is a bit less interaction with Sentient, Blax, Habd and I (OMG’s) this last year because of the defined nature of each frequent commenter in the group. But notwithstanding the recent economic dust up with Blax and ASD in the last thread, the jockeying for specialty in the tribe of red pill doesn’t need to go on when a guy is confident in his bearings and standings. There is no need to qualify or test among that group.

    SFC Ton and I couldn’t be any more different, but because I admire to no end his former work, his masculine virtues and his skills at being good at being a man, you can see I don’t have any issues with his Congruent, Authentic AMOG status in this group. Me as a monogamous, greater Beta, contextual Alpha with an attractive wife with high self esteem, and me as a psychologically attractive person IRL, if not online. You’d think there was something wrong there, but there are undertones of buying into the masculine red pill praxeology. Which works. In a tribe with a focus on shared goals.

    And aside:
    Despite what I am trying to say, perhaps poorly, I also changed quite a bit because of the hot kitchen debate. No matter who I might have sparred with before in a masculine space. Guess what? I changed a lot. Because of Them. I worked a lot. I admitted a lot of things to myself that I needed to improve. Despite my advocacy for Meyers-Briggs, I changed my personality a lot. I moved way toward eliminating a lot of my weaknesses and maximizing my strengths in order that I was no longer bound by the borders of my former personality. I’m still an INTJ. But I changed. I really changed. All for the better. None for the worse.

    And that is a huge tip of the hat to Rollo and his commenters and what he and they do for other men in the Manosphere. He moves men towards a greater self. If they are willing to accept precepts of The Red Pill, Do the Work, find the keys to their own prisons, not be afraid to use them and Act on improving themselves and their strategy.

    Rollo, Blaximus, Sentient, Habd, ScribblerG (Especially! He changed my life around from being a drunk, failed captain.), Forge the Sky, yes even YaReally, the 98% true detective of PUA, and even the Cyphers that have went back into the Blue Pill fold–they all changed me to be on a higher plain via masculine (and occaisionally feminine–Hey, How Women Argue) debate.

    Masculine Tribalism and knowing the undertones of what is really going on here is important.

  39. @KFG

    ” . . . his 150 bullet point tactics for hunting deer.”

    1. Go where the deer are.
    2. Shoot one.

    You got the pulse on that one. Years later, I realized what what going on there (which was separate from the story about the tribal on-line guys warfare sparring).

    What was going on there was: He was a good salesman. But his product was great. Just like Disneyland is for children.

    I remember those two days for a trivial $800 (while I farmed my family off to Cancun for $1500 each that Spring) was a wonderful walk in the park.

    Which gets back to the salesmanship of Real Social Dynamics Pick Up Bootcamps. The Salesmanship. The Salesmanship. Some Gurus are pretty damn good at that.

    But I did change my head around after that, and in regards to that and deer hunting and also in real life. What I changed, and it was due to a brief commenter here around three years ago (And on the old So Suave forums much prior). His name was Vulpine.

    What I got out of his comments here and also spirited debate was I got rid of that bug up my ass that was Consumerism. I used to acquire shit with a lot of disposable income. I stopped that because of the Manosphere influence and after seeing how the non-desperate housewives of my community were treating that as a Religion, unbeknownst to their Husbands. Everyone was spiraling that up via the Feminine Imperative and Everyone was blind to the code running the Matrix.

    After that, I took the Path less traveled by,
    And that has made all the difference.

  40. “Shame,fear, a need for control, in men those things often manifest themselves in sexual crudity, vulgarity, aggressiveness.”

    Gamma Beta Blue Pill Traits.

    We all know what is going on here: Psychological Projection. Good luck with That.

  41. sjf – I honestly don’t know how you can consistently crank out that many words so fucking fast lol

    I thought you’d just call me on the taunting but then I realized that’s what *I* would do

    anyway, thanks for write up, it was a good read

  42. Oh shit, here comes my pressure of speech again.

    I forgot the thank KFG for changing my life course for the better. Mr. Enigma wrapped around by masculine ancient knowledge.

    The pivot point was his posting Alan Watt’s The Book: The Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are. That led me down a wide open path. No rabbit hole. All the stuff we pursue in Red Pill is out in nature. Ready to be observed. Right out in the open in parallel with evolutionary forces going on for a million years. What made humans transcendent among other animals was our cognition, our type of visual sight, and our ability to socialize. And among the power to socialize with cognition was to get into other animals and other humans designs (their motives to operating). To forecast what others might do and to assign motive to others. To have mastery over self by seeing a design of nature and others motives. Wolf and sheep behavior to the wiser.
    (something covered in the early Mastery by Robert Greene. Parlayed into further development by Yuval Harari in Sapiens, Tribe by Sebastain Junger and sent home with a shiv to your ego by Vadim Zeland in Reality Transurfing. A chain of thought. Started by KFG. Well done KFG.)

    And the ancient maxim of the Greeks: Know Thyself.

    And rather than take the road less traveled, blaze your own path.

    And Go Your Own Way. And Own That Way.

    And Be Yourself.

    And Don’t Apologize for That.

    And go back and get your fucking knowledge about life from sources that came before the advent of the Idiocracy. Jordan Peterson style.

    Don’t think technology and it’s fire-hose-of-useless-INFO you get to suck on makes you more informed or happy or wise. Go back to ancient knowledge, when you weren’t so distracted by too much information. (Sit in a deer hunting stand an hour before sun up and you’ll get a clarity of thought you never had before. As long as you put your fucking cell phone away.)

    Him not feeding us info, rather making us destroy our own mis-beliefs on our own, rather than lecture to us in a didactic fashion being more valuable a path to understanding. When you come to a conclusion based on your own arrival: all the more convincing.

    And that’s why he is here in this space. Because Rollo does the same thing: Does not moralize or prescribes, but informs you of things we should be very aware of. As a primitive tool to go out and work with.

    I actually paid attention in his classes, rather than get annoyed by his riddles.

    Guys: If you want to masculine self improve. Look to someone that has supreme masculine attributes with a learned knowledge of what works in a timeless fashion. (And don’t sweat the finger fucking Facebook Generation.)

  43. Congratulations on your success Rollo.
    A good number of men and boys will transform their lives as a result of your endeavor.

    Alas, the open, sisterhood and editor-approved misandry continues unabated in the media seems. Not the 405 article shares..

  44. “SJF – I honestly don’t know how you can consistently crank out that many words”

    It’s because I’m invested in all the stuff I comment on. Once you connect a lot of dots you can develop a better picture. With clarity of thought. Investment and desire to pursue a goal drives Mastery. My buddy, commenter Roused accused me of having a photographic memory (he’s a good photographer) but no, it’s all just hard work combined with desire to get some place that I wasn’t before.

    And something happened in my “change”. I used to have these thoughts in my soul. I used to have really good thoughts on how to proceed. But I just couldn’t get them out. So I worked on that. Really hard.

    Any thing that was painful in my life (big life goals, mainly), I swore I would never let that happen again. Once I was placed in a high level English class in Freshman year of college (Pre-Med at a major college). Instead of basic English for one semester, this was two semesters. Reading classic books and having to write an essay thereafter. Six books, six essays per semester, back in the days of manual typewriters. I got, I think a D, E and an F on my first three essays. I got a C for the class. And I also got a C in Calculus that semester. Good, no Great ideas. No ability to get them out of my soul, past my scrambled mind on to the paper. (I didn’t have any real organic brain issues at all like dyslexia or anything. I just wasn’t practiced. Cause I was too smart and I was in a cushy situation and: “The greatest curse of the intelligent person is that he can rationalize anything”

    And a second thing happened after that. I had a mediocre GPA (3.1) after graduation in applying to Med School. I got accepted to my school of choice and no where else. But it was rolling admissions: get accepted, but wait on a waiting list for people to drop that choice. So I didn’t get in the year after graduating and had a very fruitful year taking classes, doing research that was fruitful and working in a clinical medical lab. Best year ever. But I was fucking pissed and I swore to never let anything like that ever happen again. I hit the ground running and never looked back after the first year of Med School. I shot to to top of the class. Never let off the gas and had a great personal career history.

    My mind used to interfere with the feelings of my soul (up until five years ago). I was turned around. Cognitive ignorance and brainwashing cock-blocked all that shit.

    The Feminine Imperative will do that in a society that is trying to become Matriarchal. You got to be careful about the pretty little lies society tells you and you actually believe. Opening your eyes helps.

    All that investment and my thoughts aren’t so jumbled today. I’ve made peace with my own Platinum Rule. Cause good choices are out there when you know yourself and your mind doesn’t cock block you. I was never too scared to use the keys.

    Here is a personification of what I did (lately in red pill and game). I did more and thought less, while not resting in advancing my knowledge. Let’s say I ruminated less. But I still pursued knowledge. I shut down things that weren’t advancing my cause. But I didn’t let stupid little untrue thoughts cloud my knowledge. I let my heart sing and my mind rub its hands with glee over choosing what I want. And then pursuing it with Action. It wasn’t easy, but I don’t remember the difficulties in the rear view mirror.

    Read this and pursue his (StonePimpleTilist from MRP reddit) other essays. This shit works:

  45. Self inprovement vs unplugging have very different outcomes.

    As I read other blogs and many posts here I detect the self improvement angle is often a partial unplugging ….adopting just enough game or Red Pill knowledge to get over someone or something.

    Without total unplugging there’s a tendency for that self delusion to creep back…like a wart that has t been fully burnt off.

  46. @SJF
    Changing from situation #2 to #1 requires one to transform from couch potato into a gamer. May be that is what you did. But a couch potato who understands that a woman can only offer him is negotiated sex and not genuine desire, one who knows that only a mother would give his fucking sack of a man unconditional love; that man will handle any offers very pragmatically.

  47. Women are good for sex, men are good for certain other stuff. Women who are not good for sex should not try to present as such, it is nauseating to men. Men who are not good for certain other stuff should not present as if they thought they were, it is nauseating to women.

  48. Cheupez

    You started off good here:

    Changing from situation #2 to #1 requires one to transform from couch potato into a gamer.

    But then you got totally lost in translation here:

    But a couch potato who understands that a woman can only offer him is negotiated sex and not genuine desire, one who knows that only a mother would give his fucking sack of a man unconditional love; that man will handle any offers very pragmatically.

    Couch potato what the fuck?

    @Walawala

    Most of the time I don’t burn warts off. I treat them with liquid nitrogen on palms and soles. With the over-arching goal as not to leave a scar. So as to leave the palms and soles back to perfect.

    It is very remunerative.

    And as regards to self-improvement. Just like in my patients: The goal is to achieve perfection. Whether that is achieved or not, it is still the goal. I need to temper my patients expectations.

    I don’t short my expectations. Self Improvement is a goal worked toward. Or not. It is a choice and a desire. It doesn’t have to stop short or be done to just enough.

    But then again, we are talking having been been blue pill, then red pill and relapsing into having Cypher tendencies to relapse.

    I was never blue pill, never had that tendency from reference experiences. I went Beta via Ignorance. Never Again. Full embrace-ment of red pill, enlightened self interest, masculine self improvement and no fucking retrenchment or creep back. That would be non-masculine and foolish. The creep back.

    What you are reading on other forums is Fake self Improvement and false positive mindset. That in inner intention and self desire to improve without outward intention and action to choose to do shit.

    If I don’t resonate with what you are claiming, chalk it up to my not having previous blue pill tendencies. I got betatized after ten years of marriage. Because of Ignorance.

    Never again.

    So the: Just Game, Don’t self Improve angle is not a thing. There is no such thing. There is no opting out of: Never seek a completion in life. Because: You are a fucking masculine male. That’s what you do. You don’t rest. You pursue things. But that is not to say you don’t pursue things, fight through and seek a release from constraint.

    It’s not just a sit back and life will come to you because of desire. It is Act and you get to choose what is in your stream to choose and then relax after choosing.

    Sorry for the metaphorical thinking but you gotta think abstractly instead of concretely. Shit happens. You plan. You understand via knowledge. You see opportunities. You Act. You don’t let all that Blue Pill stuff cloud your choices.

  49. @SJF

    “in the AskMRP thread that you are referring, I believe some of the answers by some of the more senior masters of MRP covered the bases pretty well, on acceptance of how things were for the OP-er the nuances of mate guarding and clues on how to be contextual Alpha when recovering from Beta frame in the process of Red Pill and Relationship Game Mastery. And I think they gave good answers to a newbie whose filly was trying to exit the barn.”

    Now MRP has a post that says one should either self improve and/or divorce the whore. This now aligns with Divorced Bedrooms (aka DeadBedrooms) where all posts giving a decision to split, leave, divorce or 47 other ways to exit are cheered on and massively upvoted.

  50. SJF
    My apologies for losing all in the translation (english is my fourth language). Some guys choose not to self improve. They live with the knowledge that negotiated sex is their lot. They understand, accept, and see past the woman to her motives/drive behind negotiated sex. They can see through her pretensions. They can see through the smoke and mirrors in Disneyland romance when she tries to pitch such bullshit at him. A fat solid guy.

  51. LOL I have self-limited giving advice because I get dangerously close to the forget women, just get better and the bitches will come a’runing deal….. well not literally running I ain’t pretty enough to have them overtly approach me but y’all get my point.

    I also don’t get the various in-fighting. OMG vs YSG? Seemed pretty silly to me. PUA vs MGTOW seems more about those groups trying to shore up their own sense of self at the other groups expense. I get the Red Pill so-con vs everyone else battle. They generally have comfy lives to keep on track and daughters they want to marry off so all non so-cons are a threat but most of the in fighting always seemed like weak frame vs weak frame and that shit ain’t right. As in fuck weak frames and acting based on weakness

  52. Men love women, women love kids and kids love puppies.
    ………
    Ladies love outlaws like babies love on stray dogs
    Ladies touch babies like a banker touches gold
    Outlaws touch ladies… any where they want

  53. @SFC Ton: Thanks for the song!! Right on the money.

    @insanitybytes22: Listen to the song above and ask the sisterhood … “why is it so?” and do come back and enlighten us. I won’t hold my breath though.

  54. Red Pill so-con – what is new addition to the RP lexicon?

    Also ban IB, if she doesn’t change her avatar, as it is very misleading.

  55. Thanks again Rollo for all your work and continued effort. You are providing an enduring source for those who seek truth comming into red pill awareness. Also, and at least as equally important, you are providing ongoing support for those who may otherwise backslide into blue pill delusion due to fear or nostalgia for the false hope of delusional blue pill expectations. It is great to read back over your various posts and the original book. Doing so reinforces awareness of reality and provides more clarity. Experience puts the pieces of the the puzzle in place. You have done a great job of diagraming the puzzle for those who are able to proactively intellectually assemble it more accurately. What a road map, it is reliable.

    But enough of my blathering accolades for now….

    This morning I was watching Fox and Freinds and a thought occurred to me about male news anchors and commentators in general. It occurred to me that I have always thought of male media members as being at least slightly less masculine than my general conception of what a man actually is. Notice, I’m saying “actually is”. I am not saying “should be”. The reason I make this distinction is important, because it defines awareness separate from ideology. There are those who will undoubtedly argue that my awareness is nothing more than perspective based on conditioning or brainwashing and that I expect men to be more masculine simply because I’m a “Neanderthal”. The messenger is attacked, instead of the message because the truth itself cannot be fought.

    Anyway, I have always held this default subconscious, and sometimes conscious, perception that ALL men in media are less than completely masculine at least in their behavior. I have sensed this as far back into childhood as early as I can recall. I have from time to time wondered why I “think” this. I have even wondered if I am wrong or somehow prejudice for thinking this. So, the consideration to question my own thoughts has lead me to examine why I think as I do.

    This morning it occurred to me that the news itself is intrinsically a form of gossip. This includes the exchange of factual information as well as conflated bullshit, opinions and Jerry meandering the facts to manipulate public opinion. Ever wonder why factual information about natural disasters occurring on the opposite side of the globe is so important to those who are completely unaffected? Am I alone among men because news men who reported the real time explosion of the Hindenburg sound like histrionic sissys to me?

    I have always considered, or at the very least suspected, EVERY male in media to be at least a bit feminine. I wonder If I’m alone in thinking this.

  56. I also don’t get the various in-fighting. OMG vs YSG?

    Exactly Ton. You understand men fighting. You understand opposing tribes fighting. The Infighting (within a tribe) bugs me too. And I’ve pulled a Rodney King a time or two (“can’t we all just get along, tribal red pill wise?” That was a no go.)

    It has to do with an issue of Positive Masculinity and Red Pill Parenting that the Old Married guys advocated for and the latter scoffed at.

    Sorry for the metaphorical thinking but you gotta think abstractly instead of concretely
    ……….
    Who says?

    Hey sorry Ton. My bad. Abstract thought is superfluous for Unconsciously Competent Apex Alpha (Outlaw) Males. Wolves don’t need to think when going after the sheep. Instincts and all.

    Otherwise, the grunts need it to avoid Nihilism and the thought of swallowing a muzzle end to put themselves out of misery. Perhaps “need” is too strong a word. Try “benefit by…”.

    Cue Rollo’s WHAT’S YOUR PROBLEM? essay.

  57. palm & IR – oy, no more of that Liz please; reading that shit is like eating cotton candy except w/out all the nutrients

  58. @SJF

    Sorry for the metaphorical thinking but you gotta think abstractly instead of concretely

    You’re apologizing for what? If Ton gives you shit, he’s probably drunk. Tell him to go fuck himself, lol.

    The big takeaway from the “economic discussion”, which was really about power, not finances, is that it’s possible to fight the socialists…both the NRA and the homeschoolers have done so successfully and repeatedly…Congress won’t fuck with either group. Even if the socialists have trillions of dollars backing them up, academia, the media, the US Congress, and the Presidency.

  59. @IB

    a need for control..

    By the laws of nature, there is a definite need for a man to control his woman. Yes indeed. Without control from a male, a woman is a danger to herself and others. With the control of a male, she is apt to meet her true potential in life, and become a virtual Goddess.

    Shame..

    Yes, we are all very ashamed that we have allowed women to become the shameful monstrosity that they have, due to our failure to control them properly, and our falling prey to feminine deceit.

    fear…

    Yes, we fear that if we don’t begin to address these issues, and fix our own shortcomings in allowing women to dominate us, followed by compassionately putting them back in their proper place.. all will be lost.

    sexual crudity..

    I have yet to bang a woman in the 21st century who does not take sexual crudity far beyond my wildest sinful dreams of depravity.. You can’t rape the willing.

    vulgarity..

    See above.

    aggressiveness..

    .. is the beginning of establishing proper control.

    I’m not complaining,it just is what it is.

    Neither are we.. we are acting.

  60. @SJF,
    “And a second thing happened after that. I had a mediocre GPA (3.1) after graduation in applying to Med School. I got accepted to my school of choice and no where else. Jesus, does that ever resonate with me, a very similar path to what I stumbled along, different context obviously but ya, it was a weird year where I was in retrospect in total monk mode working toward my goal. First year of university and I didn’t go to a single party, perhaps hit the bars about four times. Still got laid just fine but pretty much a totally introspective year for me with a different kind of growth that set a stage for something else entirely. Next year I was a pig in shit in my program rocking the program and sitting at the top of the class.

    I have lost the plot here and there but yea, that was a seminal year for me setting out in earnest toward one of my big life goals. Maybe it’s a Joesph Campbell kind of thing where the hero gets cast out, he goes out and remakes himself and comes back stronger than ever.

    I love this tribe.

  61. @rugby
    Great article. I believe men are more accepting of reproductive marxism than women. Would you agree?

  62. @NBTM

    I have always considered, or at the very least suspected, EVERY male in media to be at least a bit feminine.

    You’re coming by that suspicion naturally. The old walks like a duck.

    A big part of the TV newscaster’s job, which pays well and they want to keep, is having someone put makeup on them before they sit and talk.

    Even print media types (LOL “print”) usually have to submit their material to female and/or feminist editors for approval. Plus, look at how many by-lines these days are women. The males are in the minority, and many of those write for FI controlled institutions.

  63. @NBTM
    I second Lost Patrol.

    Ever been in a news room studio? Perhaps interviewed on TV? It’s 65% female to start and they get nowhere in the business if they don’t “go girlie” and participate in the gossip mill. On the remaining male side it’s 30% gay or bi at a minimum, again back to the gossip mill. At best you will find a few editors who lurk in dark caves cutting clips who can trend masculine, they can live and die by tech skill alone. Perhaps the odd camera operator as well but they are often not seen and not heard so they barely enter into and even then half that crowd all just roll around white knighting.

    I think any truly masculine on air personalities who can climb that ladder and persist must score very high on the machieavallian scale to be able to persist in that environment. Thus we see so many slide into politics late in their careers trading in brand presence for straight up power and pay offs.

    I used to live in a cool hip loft old warehouse right downtown with lots of “art’s scene” type people living and visiting a lot. It was a whole slice of the above and could trend from fabulous to abysmal behavior but almost none of it “masculine”. Predatory, self-serving and narcissistic would be much closer to the truth. It chewed up and spat out a lot of people.

  64. @Rollo, Congratulations on the #1 best seller and your 6 Years of excellent writing and superior commentary generation from the regular and occasional contributors which I really enjoy.

    Some Catch-up Comments (Still Behind in Comments):

    On the Statues Thing

    I have been to Wyman Park in Baltimore and walked around the impressive statue of Lee and Jackson—now removed by the Mayor. The city is now on its third black-woman mayor—the first was a crook, the second allowed destruction of property during the riots and the third, well, her major accomplishment seems to have been the removal of the statue. It reminds me of what a depressing city Baltimore has become. As with many blighted cities, there are structures and monuments that are reminders that this was once a great city.

    Now, the city wants to remove them. The news clip shows a man with his son who called Lee a loser, and a SJW millennial who mocked an old woman by lying that the statue made her shiver in fear. While Lee lost everything including his home and his health for his principles, he could not be rightly called a loser in the ne’er-do-well sense. It shows the degradation of our American civilization that some guy hanging out on a work day with his son feels righteous in his pronouncements.

    Burden of Performance

    I had the thought that I am struggling with the bar and while I am still pushing, progress has been depressingly slow. Then, I read that SJF and Roused are having “man summits”, and I am thinking to myself in a humorous kind of way that, that son of a bitch SJF keeps raising the bar.

    Fighting Antifa and Black Lives Matter

    I thought that theasdgamer received undue criticism for saying that people on the right should work together even if they don’t agree. I admire Jordan Peterson, but living the rugged individual life is only going to take you so far unless you retire from society. Anything less than sackcloth and ashes is considered white supremicism. My Son at least can see it. My Daughter and Arnold Schwarzenegger don’t. She shares with me all the anti-Trump hate memes and twitter comments. There is hope for her with my guidance, but Arnold you fucking idiot!

    Goodbye Uber

    Exactly how far can Uber exaggerate and outright lie! I’m not a big user, but I uninstalled my app and unsubscribed after receiving this email:

    Dear If-I-Fell,

    We were horrified by the neo-Nazi demonstration that took place in Charlottesville, which resulted in the loss of life of a young woman as well as two Virginia State Troopers responding to the protest. There is simply no place for this type of bigotry, discrimination, and hate.

    As the country braces for more white supremacist demonstrations, we wanted to let you know what we are doing for the Uber community:

    We will act swiftly and decisively to uphold our Community Guidelines, including our policy against discrimination of any kind this includes banning people from the app.
    24/7 in-app support is available to answer questions and address concerns. You always have the right to end your trip if you feel uncomfortable or disrespected.

    Now more than ever we must stand together against hatred and violence. Thank you for making our community one that we can all be proud of.

    On behalf of all of us at Uber,
    Meghan Verena Joyce
    Regional General Manager, US & Canada Cities

    It sounds like Google’s response to Damore’s firing. They must use the same google docs template.

    Mega Old-Married-Guy Shit Test

    I took the wife out on Friday. We both had had, let’s say disappointing work weeks. So, she said, “I hate my job, and I’m quitting it in a year. I don’t care anymore what happens.” So, I told her she may quit this job, but she needs to work for us to support our lifestyle. Then she told me, I wasn’t going to tell her what to do. I told her that it’s not me telling her what to do. It’s the fucking mortgage company, the fucking gas and electric company, the fucking credit card company and the fucking water and sewer company, etc. etc. So, the date and night ended. She canceled a scheduled vacation trip in retaliation—which I didn’t care about because it turned out to be more hamster-spin than looking forward to the vacation. I withdrew attention. Went out Saturday solo. Sunday, she did the your not going to ignore me re-frame thing. One of her complaints was that I was loud and said the word “fuck” in the noisy restaurant. I told her I did it because I was “fucking” angry. I realize that this method of passing the shit test is not optimal, but I’m at a loss to figure an amused mastery or other method to pass the test. Timely post–I need to re-read the best of year 6 again.

    I used the time to organize my finances and found that Transamerica was billing me $8.75 quarterly for nothing—which I am stopping. So, it was timely that there were discussions about Wall Street

  65. “I told her I did it because I was “fucking” angry. I realize that this method of passing the shit test is not optimal,”

    Wouldn’t say so. Being authentic is optimal. Righteous anger of the most high is optimal…

    Sometimes a dust up by the Coq is required to keep the hen in line 🐓.

    Ps – don’t go having vacations if you can’t pay your bills.

    Pps – don’t have your wife out working… No benefit.

  66. “as well as two Virginia State Troopers responding to the protest. ”

    Complete fucking lie. Hold on while I delete my Uber surveillance app.

  67. @Lost Patrol

    “Even print media types (LOL “print”) usually have to submit their material to female and/or feminist editors for approval.”

    What on Earth are you talking about? That would happen only if the editor is female or perhaps a women’s only product.

    I’ve worked in the business my entire career at media operations far and wide, never once have I seen or even heard of this. I will add that many male newsrooom employees are very liberal, feminized and highly beta. I spend a lot less time in our newsrooms since I swallowed the red pill, I simply no longer can stand the smell of estrogen oozing from the males.

  68. If-I-Fell

    On the statues thing, this is a matter of municipalities and protest ” organizations ” deciding to remove the statues. Don’t drink the kool aide man, most black folks don’t care, most millennials couldn’t pick Lee out of a lineup and have no idea who he is/was. Make zero mistake about it, Black People are not driving this movement. Why? Why would it suddenly matter? It’s now becoming a ” thing “. I advise all of the youngsters I know to stay out of it ( you didn’t care last year so don’t suddenly adopt any fashionable ” convictions ” ). I’d rather not be scapegoated in some manner with this fuckery.

    …. but it would be par for the course.

    On BLM – Again, a majority of black folks young and old don’t give any fucks. What we figured out years ago is the BLM is feminist driven, and ain’t nobody of note or worth got time for that. Yet the sphere and ” conservative ” webz give much lip service and life to this particular ” group “. It’s all about the numbers Lebowski. Last ” gathering ” I ever attended was in 1995 –

    And it wasn’t even a protest.

    ( I’m somewhere in the middle )

    So I never understand the long running furor over such a small number of people, and why they get so much undeserved attention and hype. Like the Dallas police attack proves, it only takes one guy to actually do some shit, and what you label him makes no difference at all.

    Media.

    On Trump and Arnold ( lol )

    As I’ve stated here before Trump was ever elected, he is a Con Man and ( evidently ) always will be. I’m not surprised though that a large group of people are pretending not to be able to see that there’s a mad-man in the whitehouse. But it’s fine by me because Trump is gonna Trump and I’ll be surprised if he last through his full term – and I say that as a non-liberal whatever folks are labeling everyone that questions wtf is going on. Lol.

    Arnold was not known for his ” liberal ” views because he didn’t have any. What he seems to understand is that as a leader, you are responsible for leading all of the people. Every president up until now has understood this and calibrated thusly. That’s all I took from Arnold’s message to Trump, but he’s ( trump ) got a shit ton more messages heading his way, lol. Lots and lots of them.

    Because he is unfit to serve. He was unfit from the beginning, but he got in. Nothing has changed no matter how much I hoped ( not a strategy ) that he would modulate and take the responsibility of the office and the power more seriously, but he’s still Donald’ing.

    Being against Donald’s fuckery doesn’t mean you’re rooting for the left, socialism, Marxism or the collapse of western civilization. I actually rooted for Trump to snap out of it and realize what he was supposed to be doing. At the end of the day, if/when he fails, we all lose.
