Field Reports

lion-chasing-gazelle

For the past three years of The Rational Male there’s been a consistent presence in the comment threads of guys seeking advice for particular situations with regards to Game. Whether it’s fine tuning certain aspects of Game or a larger consensus of the guys participating in my comment threads it’s become obvious there’s a need for a dedicated page and comment thread to address these Field Reports.

So I’m instituting this page for exactly this. If there is some urgency to have members of The Rational Male community analyze your particular situation feel free to hit anyone up in the comments of my current post, but please refer them to your particular field report with a link to your comment here. I’m hoping this will alleviate the mass of posts for field report analysis and Game specific insights piled into the main blog post for any given week.

There will be some rules for this “forum” as such. I ask that you only keep your comments to addressing the field reports at hand and save your larger theoretical stuff for the main posts, or if relevant, keep the “bigger scope of things” posts to being as succinct as possible. There will be no moderation in this comment thread (spamming excepted), so realize it will be a very hot kitchen before you post. I will impose no restrictions on video links here, nor will I limit links to various, but pertinent articles.

Understand, this is an experiment for now. It’s likely this comment thread will exceed thousands of comments. I’ll be instituting new comment plug-ins for wordpress to deal with this in the future, but I may archive this page the the posts and refresh this page in the future as well. If this gets cumbersome I may simply institute a dedicated forum-style sub-site of The Rational Male to accommodate for Game specific questions.

So have at it, post your field reports and feel free to comment on the ones you have some particular insight for. Be forewarned that it’s likely things may get a bit salty at times and I expect a lot of back & forth with debate and disagreements, but that’s what this thread is for – to hash out Game particulars for your given situations.

Germans have also been told to take fewer showers, wear more layers of clothing and avoid washing their clothes and driving their cars as often.

@HABD I need to repeat here that Russian gas supply is not the only energy source in the country and not even closely the most relevant. Electricity and Gas are and will be in very short supply to the degree of sky-high prices. Prices already climbed up to the Matterhorn and before in fall we could reach Nanga-Parbat, yet they only can go as high as people are willing to pay. And willing they are… Yet – and theat needs to be said clearly as well – we will see serious declines in economic output. (And quality of life for… Read more »

folks are still too comfortable to look around and ‘see’… They just desperately WANT to ignore what’s comming. Talked to my hairstylist yesterday, as I think they should get a giant picture of how the local community thinks. And she told me most people would: A. not reduce their spending (at least on hair styling) B. not start prepping giant amounts C. BUT still have that sub-concious but serious fear level And I tried to think about that again – and I really see how people will start panic buying in Fall (like October onward). @HABD maybe… unless putin decides that he wants to kill off the EU (NATO) for ‘interfering’…lol… then the gas will just stay turned off… The best way to stop NATO in its tracks is to divide & conquer. The way to do that right now is to cut off the gas with plausible deniability. Then they fight each other. OK, since there is nothing really going on I’ll give a little report on my experience of public emotion here plus a pub report at the end. People start feeling everything getting tighter. Thought this was share-worthy, on the topic of world events (it has been interesting reading thanks all):
Think I’ve posted about this youtube channel before, but if not, Serpentza lived in China for many years and married a Chinese physician. His insight is very good, and China is in big trouble by his estimation. Think someone mentioned the fiasco with the banks earlier. This addresses what happened then and after.

Is he talking about China today, or the US in 2008? I know people who had their life savings in Bear Stearns and a mortgage taken out at the height of the real estate bubble. It took them years to recover 2 cents on the dollar. Or maybe he’s talking about the Zero COVID policies of Australia and New Zealand that have resulted in protests, broad unrest and severely damaged economies. I’m afraid I don’t see it as insightful. I see it as 99 44/100% pure rhetorical bullshit. I was delivering China watch lectures when Mao was still warm, long… Read more »

I’ll keep my ears open for the expats actually living in China

Up until four years ago he did live in China for a long while (he left when he desired to start a family).
Most of his videos on the subject were taken back then.
What he described at the time was very much like what I saw when I was there many years before…though the pamphlet was more glossy.

“Up until four years ago he did live in China . . .” And the 56/100% that wasn’t bullshit was bang on, but it also wasn’t news. ” . . . the pamphlet was more glossy.” His pamphlet is very, very glossy. He isn’t analyzing, he isn’t explaining; he’s selling something, with the same techniques used to sell time shares and gym memberships. The United States is very good at funding and creating its own enemies. Just a few years ago (before Trump) PRC representatives were invited to tour many of our most important military installations (accompanied by some NATO members). Why they were invited, I haven’t a clue. I’m sure someone got money out of it. A few years before that, some hospitals were encountering a stream of “heparin allergies” (that is what the patients were told happened…in actuality it was contaminated heparin from China, after our pharmaceutical companies outsourced from Puerto Rico to China when the tax advantages expired). @Flying Circus – welcome to the TRM comments section – still the best place bar none to get advice on women. Sentient will give you great advice, but I only wanted to add one thing – in general social media/online game is tailored to women – for a bunch of reasons it is structured to give women maximum advantage and choice, and to structurally weaken men and prevent men from showing off their best assets (your personality and charisma in person – which is very difficult to get across online). So you will ALWAYS be fighting at a disadvantage in… Read more »

Micro comment @Flying circus at first and general report here down below. That said, it may be worth using online/social media game as an adjunct (NOT a replacement) for meeting women in person Pure truth here. Social media is like a visiting card, at least that’s how we call it here, over the pond (and in your case also across a whole continent as well). That being the first point you also definitely have to consider the platform you’re using. @FC I wasn’t trying to take a swipe or be shitty, it was just my observations about what had to be done. To put it into perspective, my journey started almost exactly a decade ago. Weight-loss took me 3 years, there was a couple of years banging age appropriate, then there was 3 years in the PRG where I basically went monk, and abstained from age appropriate whilst forcing myself to engage with younger and flunked it every single night with younger women. Here’s a good example of an “age appropriate” (ish) 50s woman stuck in exactly the kind of situation Palma is talking about – she’s decent looking even now and must have been really quite hot 25 years ago – but this is what her life has come down to. (Another exercise – can you read that article and break down her life choices and the reasons for them from a Red Pill lens?) You’d better believe a woman like this will be desperate to lock down a man like you. Whenever Palma talks about the kind of “age appropriate” women… Read more »

@OTP The thing to remember is what @Playdontpay pointed out, and that is, they don’t dismount the cock carousel voluntarily, it unceremoniously ejects them. Even then they don’t realise it or come to terms with it for years. That woman ^^ is still banging 40 year olds, plus the odd 22 year old. She still really and truly believes that she has options to consolidate. It’s written all over the article. There have been so many men around her for so long that anything else in unthinkable. She’s not touching a 66 year old (or even a 54 yo), unless… Read more »

@OTP I nearly missed this my wife knows plenty including one mid 50s woman who hasn’t had sex for three years – at least that one is financially secure to her credit) And there’s a lesson… WHY hasn’t she had sex in 3 years? It’s obvious when you look, Firstly, and mainly, she hasn’t WANTED to have sex, ie there’s be no one alpha enough who has wanted her enough to make a move and so there has been no genuine desire on her part. Secondly, and mainly, she hasn’t HAD to have sex with a beta in order to… Read more »

Palma – great analysis. I hadn’t thought of it that way but you’re right of course. One thing I didn’t mention about my wife’s friend is that prior to the current sex drought, she had many years of “inappropriate flings” (through her 40s) with (mostly) younger men who were never going to commit or marry her – which fits in well with your analysis of course. As for the woman in the article – I’m assuming it was something along the lines of: In her 20s: Meeting alphas/celebrities in the music scene, partying, having too much fun to settle down… Read more »

@HABD

This slid under the radar, not sure how true it is:

Within minutes of her arrival, the People’s Liberation Army announced provocative drills and missile launches encircling Taiwan. That was swiftly followed by economic sanctions on Taiwanese agricultural goods and imports of Chinese sand.

Chinese sand. Sounds innocuous right? Why would you need that shit?

It’s silicone for semiconductors. And if they didn’t need it in the first place, why would they import it?

So they do need it… for silicone chips, and now it’s been sanctioned.

@Sentient, @PalmaSailor @OldTimePoster @HABD Your comments are exactly what I’m looking for. Lurked here long enough to know I wouldn’t be in this kitchen if I couldn’t stand the heat. I don’t mind, I need the honesty and there’s no other place I can get it. Lots to think about. I see I’m going to have to ask and answer some fundamental questions about myself. So be it. I’ll approach this with a beginner’s mind, everything’s on the table. Might have to tear the engine down and rebuild it but to paraphrase @PalmaSailor I have the time and the money.… Read more »

Sentient – great link to the old storytelling thread. I’d forgotten that one. Some real wisdom there. I wish I could print out this quote from West Indian Archie in that thread and stick it on my office wall. Actually, maybe I will, if only to see my colleague’s faces. DHV is not about the content of the story – it’s about how it makes her feel. The “higher value” demonstrated is the EMOTION she feels when listening to it above all – the fact it shows other things about you (like the old Mystery Method 5 attraction switches for… Read more »

The sand used for making chips is made by crushing rock.
Taiwan could import rock and do their own crushing.
The preferred rocks come from North Carolina because of its particular purity.

didn’t know that…

what’s the timeline on converting?… and who makes the crusher machines?…

so, right now, china buys rocks from NC and crushes them and then sends to taiwan for chips?… does that make it chinese sand?…

good luck!

@FC @PalmaSailor – will have to think about the sleeve tattoo. I’ve seen one too many in-your-face tattoos on ugly sailors and pretty girls to like them as a general rule (yes, I know, it’s a thing with younger women these days, I can deal with it but I still think they’re like putting a bumper sticker on a Ferrari). I know where you’re coming from, I’ll come up with something appropriate for me. Obviously you gotta do you, and I disliked them for years, and probably to an extent I still do. “what’s the timeline on converting?… and who makes the crusher machines?” Crushing rock is a crude and simple process. You just hit it with a hammer. Back in the day when the same NC rocks were used for making lab grade Pyrex it was done by hand, because backwoods NC labor was cheaper than a power hammer. ” . . . china buys rocks from NC and crushes them and then sends to taiwan for chips?” No. Most of the sand imported from China really is used for making concrete. The possible impact on chip making is FUDish. Transporting raw… Read more »

A couple of things to note: TSMC, with US government backing, is building a new, cutting edge, fab in Arizona. Problem solved . . . in 2 to 5 years, depending on how many buckets of “free” money is dumped on them. The chip shortage isn’t what most people think it is. Samsung, for instance, is sitting on warehouses full of 50 million phones that it can’t sell. You can’t buy a new car due to a shortage of chips because the car manufacturers canceled already contracted orders (at a financial penalty) for them. The shortage is due to a… Read more »

And what really led to the sudden crash in supply was that in order to minimize overhead they were using Just In Time stocking on parts with a two year lead time.

OK fellas, little report from back home. I never really entered the local party scene but the dancing classes before Covid. Yesterday evening I (and my Homies) went to a kind of local party. We get there at about 11’30 and before long I meet an old school friend, running with her boyfriend, but really engaging in the conversation. Asks about what I do now, blah blah… (and she opened me, not the other way) Later me and my homie stand besides the (open) party tent and figure we’ll open some set now. Guys, thoughts/pitfalls/things to think about in going into business with someone to do a crypto startup? Have been approached by a guy who I know vaguely from a few different crypto discussion groups (we’ve had some phone calls etc and he calls me for advice on investment etc). He is the founder/CEO of fairly successful tech startup in Silicon Valley (completely unconnected to crypto) and is interested in crypto as a side passion. He basically says he wants to start something in the crypto space and is looking for smart people to do it with. He will bring the capital… Read more »

Not my first startup – I started a company </>

Didn’t you all end up fighting?

So there’s that.

Here, how are you being compensated?

And how are you protecting your economic rights, what you are bringing to the table?

I s he going to own your IP after knowledge transfer and you fight? Is he going to restrict your ability to compete etc.?

Yes, the business was successful but we hadn’t documented our respective contributions to biz and entitlements to shares of business/profit and there was an epic throwdown at the time of the sale, and some friendships were permanently damaged (we get along fine now, but never again as close friends as we used to be). OTP Which brings me to the next point – I imagine it’s inadvisable to have equal (50/50) voting rights – what if there’s a deadlock? But then who gets the majority share (or token equivalent) and voting control? Well… a deadlock may be preferable to being dragged along or diluted… There are a lot of ways to sort out what happens (spinning shotgun, independent party has a share, etc.) none of them really good, especially in situation with unequal partners. In other words he has the gold, anything financial he will trump you. You think you have the IP, but… Read more »

@OTP I may as well jump in while intellectual property is at a premium. Here is my 2cents worth. You should call it EMO coin and tie the value of it to the climate change so every time the temp goes up the coin increases in value through a series of trades and splits. Then set it up to be mined like bit only with more effort using more electricity tying up more of the web signal and space. I really think if you can tie the thing to climate change the EMO will take off like a rocket what… Read more »
