Field Reports

lion-chasing-gazelle

For the past three years of The Rational Male there’s been a consistent presence in the comment threads of guys seeking advice for particular situations with regards to Game. Whether it’s fine tuning certain aspects of Game or a larger consensus of the guys participating in my comment threads it’s become obvious there’s a need for a dedicated page and comment thread to address these Field Reports.

So I’m instituting this page for exactly this. If there is some urgency to have members of The Rational Male community analyze your particular situation feel free to hit anyone up in the comments of my current post, but please refer them to your particular field report with a link to your comment here. I’m hoping this will alleviate the mass of posts for field report analysis and Game specific insights piled into the main blog post for any given week.

There will be some rules for this “forum” as such. I ask that you only keep your comments to addressing the field reports at hand and save your larger theoretical stuff for the main posts, or if relevant, keep the “bigger scope of things” posts to being as succinct as possible. There will be no moderation in this comment thread (spamming excepted), so realize it will be a very hot kitchen before you post. I will impose no restrictions on video links here, nor will I limit links to various, but pertinent articles.

Understand, this is an experiment for now. It’s likely this comment thread will exceed thousands of comments. I’ll be instituting new comment plug-ins for wordpress to deal with this in the future, but I may archive this page the the posts and refresh this page in the future as well. If this gets cumbersome I may simply institute a dedicated forum-style sub-site of The Rational Male to accommodate for Game specific questions.

So have at it, post your field reports and feel free to comment on the ones you have some particular insight for. Be forewarned that it’s likely things may get a bit salty at times and I expect a lot of back & forth with debate and disagreements, but that’s what this thread is for – to hash out Game particulars for your given situations.

@NNN1 @HABD SHTF-situations are where big properties with enough land to produce own food come in handy. this is true for the longer term… (unless you are canning now…lol)… but you need to get to the other side first… We already checked the old wells, all dry but one. have you developed this?… selling clean water might be a good business in the near future… and can you access without grid power?… Have a creek next to the house (running the hydro-powered generator), but that will loose it’s drinking-grade when normal water-supply fails and people return to former-time methods of… Read more »

Ps.. perhaps re think your opinion of Putin being the bad guy Quite certainly he’s the only honorable man eastside the pacific (think about that). And also one of the very few doing what might be helping his people in the mid- to long-term. I actually think German chancellor Scholz has similar tendencies but he cannot articulate any of that as there’s a dozen important people just waiting to stab him (politically or real) for the first word anti-NATO. And maybe there might be more of them, but it does not matter as the Western propaganda works well too good.… Read more »

@NNN1 That’s why I’m reading indian and Middle-east newspapers now about the Ukraine-situation rather than German state-TV. If you are reading that you’ll probably have picked up that a lot of the world really don’t like the US and Europe – and for good reason. For instance, as part of ma current road trip we were in Serbia for a few weeks, and it seems that when NATO bombed them 20 years ago they used depleted uranium bombs and there are still at least 100,000 people suffering cancer related shit as a result of that. they can’t justify NATO involvement if UKR is winning, but they can if UKR “need help”. So they may be softening us up for that. About a month ago I read (in an Indian Blog), that Poland might be up for catching parts of western UKR, which they anyway consider former Polish territory. I think that might not be unrealistic, UKR parliament has passed a law allowing Polish citizens to hold public offices. They might declare it a “freedom mission to help our brothers in western UKR”. Wow. That’s some kit you got there… constant? at 220v? At 400 Volt, 3 phases That produces about 300 MWh a year, Average anual energy consumption here is 3.500 kWh p.a. UPDATE: Gazprom reduces deliveries through NordStream1 as Canada prohibits exporting compressors made by Siemens, which happened to be there for revision. Russia right now was delivering about 30% of German Natural Gas supplies, now probably reduced. Just went through the commentaries below one such article and most dudes attributed it to the “evil Russians”, only few refered to our Government declaring economic war, declaring wanting to “destroy the Russian economy” and ousting the German Gazprom office. depleted uranium bombs

The amount of radiation from depleted uranium is very very low. I get far more radiation on our mountain from the natural decomposing granite. Soldiers would not ride in depleted uranium encased tanks if it were a big radiation fear. A10 pilots carry encased uranium rounds under their nut sacks.
Is there an increased cancer risk?
Yes, but likely not from depleted uranium. Lots of chemicals agents released in war zones. Pilots are getting cancer from radiation too…not DU but the radar.
DU is actually used as a radiation screen, it is denser than lead.

I thought Biden needs a new war for “freedom and democracy” to get his approval ratings up again? Anyway, as European Gas supply plummets (and not even because Putin doesn’t want to deliver, but because Canada refuses to deliver the equipment necessary to deliver the gas), things changed fastly. Hitler did not just blame “the jews” but the entire ruling elite, which after the great 1920s recession might not really been wrong. lol… sooo, even MOAR like today, then?… also, the ‘scapegoats’ this time (besides the ‘elites’) will likely be the ‘immigrants’… Only important: He was ignored and talked to shit by the then-MSM. Yet he still succeeded. sounds like Trump…lol… never underestimate the power of populism… and especially when somebody is finally representing the ‘working folks’ (wealth producers)… The Peoples of Europe trust a strong trans-atlantic… Read more »

thinking about that sri lanka situ, i just realized that the us .gov (ie. central bankers…) is doing the same thing with oil/energy that prior ‘rulers’ (also central bankers…) did with food… to create the chaos/famine…

they are ‘selling the food outside the system’… ie. restrictions (by pResidential fiat) on the oil industry operate on the same principal, it’s just one level up the production process… and by not ‘selling’ the oil (allowing it to get to the market), it just stays in the ground for the elites (central bankers) to use at some later date…

@HABD how do you ‘profit’ from the crisis of famine? It’s a difficult question and I’ve been thinking about it, and how I could answer you. I’ve written a lot in notes which got me nowhere fast and has largely been deleted. The concept of ‘profit’ means a surplus, and lifestyle implies spending surplus on desires rather than need. Having a surplus to support need/desires for a period of time absent day to day labour is also lifestyle. The current system allows the accumulation of surplus, in greenbacks under the bed, whereas CBDC for instance may not allow that. Your… Read more »

@Habd don’t fear, I’m in quite the opposite corner of GerMONEY lol. And the Hamburg Senate can only ration warm water to those supplying it from a district heating. Hamburg built a new coal-fired plant to replace the old one a few years ago, but then FridaysForFuture came along and persuaded them to not fire that one up. It’s now one big piece of scrap metal – and the consequence is the neighbouring district prolongs the use of the old inefficient and less clean plant. Fired with – let’s guess… – more coal. @HABD Got back to the U.K. about a week ago and I still can’t answer your question. What will be left after this will be anyones guess. Firstly it’s just tooo nihilistic to think about this stuff too much, and it wasn’t doing me any good so I’ve reduced my meeeja consumption and just working in the now whilst making some preparations. Despite the concerted attempts of the media to ignore everything, there are glitches every you look. The first thing I did when I got back was get 60 litres of diesel for £111. I told him diesel could easily go to £5 a litre The funny thing is: Our Department of Environment estimated years ago that in order to significantly reduce fuel consumption over here, fuel prices would need to rise over 5 bucks a litre. And it might well get there. For several weeks now, with little exception daily spot market prices for electricity were at or above 30 ct / kWh. (which two years ago were around 3 ct / kWh) And it’s mid-sommer, full-day solar electricity production, windy weather and gas power plants still up and running lol [$$$-signs in… Read more »

doooms day update…lol https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/world-braces-europes-july-22-doomsday In an analysis this week (available to pro subscribers), UBS economists laid out a detailed vision of what they see happening if Russia halts gas deliveries to Europe: It would reduce corporate earnings by more than 15%. The market selloff would exceed 20% in the Stoxx 600 and the euro would drop to 90 cents. The rush for safe assets would drive benchmark German bund yields to 0%, they wrote. “We stress that these projections should be seen as rough approximations and by no means as a worse-case scenario,” wrote Arend Kapteyn, chief economist at UBS.… Read more »
