Field Reports

lion-chasing-gazelle

For the past three years of The Rational Male there’s been a consistent presence in the comment threads of guys seeking advice for particular situations with regards to Game. Whether it’s fine tuning certain aspects of Game or a larger consensus of the guys participating in my comment threads it’s become obvious there’s a need for a dedicated page and comment thread to address these Field Reports.

So I’m instituting this page for exactly this. If there is some urgency to have members of The Rational Male community analyze your particular situation feel free to hit anyone up in the comments of my current post, but please refer them to your particular field report with a link to your comment here. I’m hoping this will alleviate the mass of posts for field report analysis and Game specific insights piled into the main blog post for any given week.

There will be some rules for this “forum” as such. I ask that you only keep your comments to addressing the field reports at hand and save your larger theoretical stuff for the main posts, or if relevant, keep the “bigger scope of things” posts to being as succinct as possible. There will be no moderation in this comment thread (spamming excepted), so realize it will be a very hot kitchen before you post. I will impose no restrictions on video links here, nor will I limit links to various, but pertinent articles.

Understand, this is an experiment for now. It’s likely this comment thread will exceed thousands of comments. I’ll be instituting new comment plug-ins for wordpress to deal with this in the future, but I may archive this page the the posts and refresh this page in the future as well. If this gets cumbersome I may simply institute a dedicated forum-style sub-site of The Rational Male to accommodate for Game specific questions.

So have at it, post your field reports and feel free to comment on the ones you have some particular insight for. Be forewarned that it’s likely things may get a bit salty at times and I expect a lot of back & forth with debate and disagreements, but that’s what this thread is for – to hash out Game particulars for your given situations.

FR At a crypto meetup. Smallish attendance so it’s just about 10 people around a big table. 9 men and 1 woman (Asian, about 30 – although who can tell with Asian women – and HB6-6.5 (maybe 7 if you’re into Asians – very well dressed and made up etc unlike the men). Two separate conversations, my side of the table is the woman (who is to my left) and another 3-4 guys). I vaguely some of the men from before but hadn’t met the woman before. This place is all about understanding what you want and getting it. Nothing about that is average.

If you’re honest about what you want then getting it probably won’t be easy for you, but it can be done.

But that’s where it is.

If you want to improve and get what you want stick around and tell us more about yourself.

If you don’t then Twitter is down the hall on the left.

TPTB are moving us closer to an sdr currency that would be a digital medium for all cbdc;s .What I would need to see is a crypto connected to commodities. Back in the early 80s there was a company called smarter barter , a bulletin board of sorts that you could post your wares and asking price or what items you are in need of.

The ability to use it to pay taxes. The fiat stuff we’ve got isn’t really a currency either because without government backing it’s not a store of value, it’s just paper. Paper has value. In the Somalian economic collapse the market determined that the monetary value of the paper a bank note was printed on was 2 cents.

As a side note, being able to pay your taxes with it is what makes it Legal Tender (accepted as payment at law, i.e. by the government), not currency. A currency is anything generally accepted in trade, say, in certain situations, .22LR cartridges.

You can’t come on here and deflect broski..

Which are the K selected women?

And answer HABD and Palmas questions…

And also look up the definition of “anecdote”.

@Sentient The blue pill alphas have a hard time believing where things are. They have so much success with getting laid they get lost to the true nature of women and the state of open hypergamy.. It’s quite bizarre actually. He does actually get the Alpha / Beta thing. We were having a conversation about a customer I didn’t want to work for. So I had been contacted by the male, and “he” had done a refurb on the cheap on a rental they had and a part of it was a louse up and I had quoted to repair… Read more »

@NedBelly @Having a bad day I think you’re picking and choosing what to quote me on. i can respond to your whole comment…lol… but i thought i would just cut to the chase…lol… which parent drives the r/K selection process… mother or father?… In case I wasn’t clear, I’m not suggesting a better theory, I’m humbly suggesting the possibility for selection or confirmation bias in Mr. Tomassi’s anecdotal theories (or the comment posters’ steadfast belief in the absolute truth of such theories, from what appears to be their own anecdotes). i ALWAYS check my confirmation bias… that’s just sound analysis…… Read more »

He can. That’s a featured not a bug.. lol…

Why don’t you drop the buffers and say what’s really bothering you – which you are trying to rationalise having swallowed a thesaurus, which is that you can’t get what you want from women – and we’ll work through that.

@All If @Nedbelly is who I think he is He would be the late 60s commenter here that just lost his wife of 40 plus years and is now the prize of the one legged race? I have invented the one legged race where all the contestants are 60+ women with their legs tied together at one end of the arena the prize at the other end is holding the most eligible bachelor sign , at the firing of the gun anything goes in the race for provisioning. Then I would be about to go where he has been with… Read more »

My money the entire landscape has re valued via yield shift to reflect lower rates and that’s reversing so everyone is gonna be shit out a luck.. and liquidity…

also… yep… the concept of ‘interest’ has priced out of the market…lol… my ballpark WAG is that 90% of transactions can’t make financial sense at ANY interest rate above 0%…lol… and liquidity gets tight AT 0%…lol

@HABD then, ask him how many kids he is gonna have with ms 42…lol… bc in the modern era, there really is no reason to get married except for kids, right?… That is the whole point she’s been overt about it – I must have forgotten to say it. He’s already got 5 he knows about, plus he suspects he has one more from a particular occasion some time back. And she probably won’t get pregnant, then it will be IVF – and there goes 6 figures – And so it goes on. does he know about TRM?… or is… Read more »

@Sentient No, this is a different guy. It was old friend that had EEGF. He, unfortunately is BB. He plays the money / house / cars game, though he is dark triad enough to not get fully involved and just pass through a lot of women / has several in the go. Except it looks lien he has now been “caught”. Same script – he’s “getting older” – 67 ish and is getting fed up of the chase so it looks like he’s “settling down”. Nothing I can do about that. His BB game has worked so well for years… Read more »

@All As @kfg has pointed out “women are the apex predator.” IMO;;As we men age our testosterone levels drop and womens levels increase at the same time. This spins up the @Habd’s “guard dog syndrome” and if a man doesn’t have game he is basically dinner. So to some extent we can never relax and let our guard down and @ Palma’s 67 yo punchy friend will never find the peace that he is looking for in marriage without bringing in game. Also it would appear that making the transition to ‘red pill’ value’s as it were becomes less likely… Read more »

Yup.

Both punchy and old friend are fucked.

They’ve had too much intermittent reinforcement of their ways to believe they’re doing anything wrong, or that there is a better / different way.

@Everyone: N=19 🙂 Very happy with it.

She lives in a different city.

Met her about one month ago, we stayed in touch and she was giving me IOIs, one month after I’m in the city again, I get myself invited to her place, go for the K-close, makeout, then spend pretty much the whole afternoon building enough comfort…

This included a stop on the makeout and groping and a joint trip to the supermarket to get stuff, cook a snack, eat a bit, she barely eats, makeout, again, and finally get to the PIV hours later.

So, guys, next week I have a few days alone at home since my family will be away. I haven’t done any cold approach for almost 5 years now (a few situational openers and chats aside where I didn’t even try to close), and I’ve not even slept with any woman other than my wife for almost 1.5 years (because that is when I last did online dating). But I last went out properly to pull in 2018. I haven’t even really tried to flirt or set a man/woman vibe or make laser EC with a woman since 2021 (excepting… Read more »

Wow 5 years since an approach? Damn.

Feels like you are freighting this time period with “blitz energy” which never worked for you.

I’d just slow down, focus on taking action. See an attractive girl, and GO! That’s it go. ACT. Because to do otherwise is to mask you desire. Unless the desire is not really there?

Which might be ok if that’s the case.

Sentient, yeah, crazy. Since fall 2018, so like 4.5 years since a true cold approach. I stopped to focus on other things in my life that were suffering from the blitzes and Game – marriage/family/parenting, fitness, finances, martial arts, and I did that (and went to Asia for over a year), and then the pandemic etc delayed things more. But things are on much more of an even keel now. There’s always some work to do to keep everything going, but I don’t need to focus so much on the other stuff and am starting to have more mental energy… Read more »

Jeez, I just searched on Youtube for “Mystery Method” and it looks like Mystery and Beckster are still going with the coaching. There is some infield footage from Bali very recently. He must be like 50 now – great inspiration.

thinking about this some more – while my desire is certainly there and I want more variety, the main driving force behind doing this is a strong sense of unfinished business. I promised myself in my 20s that I would become good with women – hence doing Mystery Method workshop etc before getting sucked into the relationship that became my marriage. In my 30s I started taking it seriously, beginning in 2012 (although not much progress that year), and particularly in the 2013-16 period I made huge progress – finding Heartiste, then YaReally, then TRM and this gang and going… Read more »

Also, I’ve started watching various old videos and reading old FRs etc. Not so much for the knowledge, but more as a refresher and to put me (back) into the right frame of mind. Anyway I came across a great story in a video by RSD Todd who talks about how he had a 70 year old man steal some girls from him which proves everything we talk about here. Basically Todd (maybe early 30s at the time) was daygaming in London’s Leicester Square day game area, and had hooked a 3 set of early 20s girls. He was telling… Read more »

That old guy was treating Todd as an ugly girl and Todd’s initial domination of the frame as a shit test which he reduced to absurdity.

There could have been a save a ho element. Before being RP I’ve pulled girls out of situations before when they were getting hit on by some chump and it was obvious they really didn’t want to be there.

Amusing incident with the wife today. She came in to my home office around lunchtime to tell me she was heading out to do shopping. I hadn’t heard her come in as I had headphones on so I only noticed when the door opened and she came in. I had my laptop on my lap (screen facing away from her so she couldn’t see the screen), with TRM Field Reports up on it (lol) and as soon as I saw her, I used the keyboard shortcut to close that window. So she saw my fingers move and was like “What… Read more »

Oh just to add – she’s taking the kids on a trip tomorrow so I’m not sure if this will come up again before she goes, but if she brings it up again on text (or next week in person when I join them), I’m thinking about how to handle it. Either I can continue with more of the same or turn the tables on her but not sure what’s the best play strategically. She’s obviously having a big “Dread” phase and to an extent that’s fine but this level of stuff is really annoying and more than I want… Read more »
