The Mark Baxter Podcast

mb_podcast

As I mentioned last week, I did a podcast with Mark Baxter and Ed Latimore last Saturday morning. I hate to take anything away from my prior interviews, but I have to say that this was likely one of my best, most enjoyable podcast I’ve done. I think you’ll agree.

It’s a bit over two hours and Mark did a masterful job in moderating it and the post production I should add. You can download it for free and listen at your leisure via Mark’s blog, Soundcloud and iTunes.

The Mark Baxter Podcast

iTunes

Libsyn

Much as I hate to postpone the last installment of the Reconstruction series I feel this discussion was so positive and covered so much I have to drop this here first. I’ll post the last of the series this week, but I’d really like to get some reader feedback in the comments on this interview.  It’ll make you laugh and it’ll make you think. For anyone misinterpreting the Red Pill as being something hopeless or angry or negative, I’d ask you to listen through this discussion. Even if you’ve never heard of Ed or Mark before I think you’ll find that this talk was a good reflection on the Red Pill as we interpret it (in terms of intersexual dynamism).

I’d also like to take a moment to thank Mark for starting his podcast. I think a neutral approach to interviewing the various personalities of the manosphere is something sorely missing in our community and Mark has really stepped up by doing this. I’ll be doing another interview with Mark solo after my third book is released, but if I do say so, I think Ed is a great complement to my own perspectives. Mark’s approach is mature and direct, and I think this really makes for a great exchange of ideas. I could have easily gone for another hour.

So let me know what you think, or what you liked or what about this discussion (interview is much too formal) that jumped out at you that you’d like to have me cover in a post or another interview.

@ Rollo I liked the podcast quite a bit. In fact, I’ll check out more of Mark’s stuff. It was an interesting convo that I wished could have gone on a little longer. I’ve read Ed’s blog often, and it was cool to get to hear him give input. But when you broke down ” ego investment “, it was a better explanation than anything else I’d read concerning the description. After all of the reading and mentioning or ego investment, I have a grasp of what it’s supposed to mean ( I’m not all that big on the whole… Read more »

Good podcast but this black dude seemed out of place. He said he has had 3 relationships in his whole life. He said nothing of interest the whole time. I dont get why he was on that podcast.

Mark Baxter has a genuine interest in the red pill and it showed in the questions he posed, Ed has a deep understanding of the issues and the various stages of plugged and unplugged men. Although I felt there was an hint of professional jealousy from Ed at times. Rollo’s comments about ego investment and the irrationality of the ‘pussy’ wearing hat man (Ed correctly pointed out the absurdity of supporting a cause, gender prevents you from truly appreciating) showed the depths of insights he’s known for.

A great interview.

Hey Rollo. I don’t know if this is the best place to post this, but I think this is right up your alley (so much so that writing about it might even be boring). Still, if you haven’t seen it, you might find it interesting:

It’s all about how the decreased college enrollment rates for young men affects the dating market for post-graduate women. Guess who gets the advice.

Ollie (Ed correctly pointed out the absurdity of supporting a cause, gender sex prevents you from truly appreciating) showed the depths of insights he’s known for. Fixed that for you. Languages such as French, German, Spanish, Italian, etc. have gender; der / die / das (masculine, feminine, neuter) is one example. Chickens, lions, hyenas, wolves, cats and dogs have a sex. One of the subtle ways the blank-slate lie is peddled to us is via the use of the word “gender” when the correct word is “sex”. Even during the Victorian era, when some delicate ladies supposedly put cloth over… Read more »

Agree with Rollo. YaReally may or may not want to comment there, but I see no way Roosh would let him anyway. Especially on an article that boils down to “This stuff is harder for me than it used to be, so something besides me must have changed”.

Student loans are like a negative dowry. Some of the men I know pushing 30 have made it known they won’t marry a girl with student debt. That was a great podcast and it confirmed something I’ve suspected since my teens. I never thought people prepared boys for how women really are. I was in the dark for so many years. I liken to having questions, but not knowing what the questions are. I’ve on been here 1 month but I’ve reall almost all of the year 1 stuff at least 3 times. It answered those informed questions. I’ve noticed 2 things the last 30 days. I work with alot of women. Blue pill me got attitude, eye rolls and obvious discontent from female. Co workers or… Read more »

Many professional female colleagues have tried the AF blue-collar guy after college and beyond. “Yeah, he’s a tradesman. He’s so good with his hands! See how talented he is, Dad?” (NOT a knock on blue collar, rather diploma mills). Good for the blue collar guy, never quite hypergamously satisfying for her, what the FI claims she deserves. Unintended consequences. This depends on location and how far up you are, I think. Professional women I’ve known over the past 30 years or so (these are lawyers and higher level execs, not cubicle folks) don’t tend to go blue collar for husbands,… Read more »

Gender was always a term related to language, not biology. In a sexually reproducing species, the sex of any given organism is determined by the genetic payload it transmits during reproduction. Not by genitalia, but by the payload – which is called a gamete. Cut off your genitals, drown yourself in hormones, do whatever you will – your gamete remains the same. I’ve taken to explaining this to SJWs when they prattle on about “gender”, but sadly most of them just look at me dumbly. Most SJWs are slightly smart, but aren’t smart enough to know what they don’t know.… Read more »

Scribblerg – Following up on your comment above “We can see that the radical left is ready, so am I… Some thoughts…. Blasphemy! But “inconvenient” truth always is. History seems to reveal that “Democracy” (which may fundamentally be just another communistic ideology selling false hope to cowards and beggars) usually morphs into “mob rule” one way or another. This “mob rule” condition cannot endure because it is unstable to the extent that too many cannot tolerate the insecurity of it and it lacks vision and organization. I enjoyed listening to the podcast. So much so that I was going to suggest to Rollo that it would be awesome if each of his posts had an accompanying MP3 file so men could listen to it if they weren’t able to read it on some device. That was kind of sweet, Tomassi. No complaints from me. “Fostering a conversation,” I think you said. I’m all about fostering communication and the free market place of ideas. Can’t fault you there. So anger, misogyny, I think you guys are not seeing it clearly. I think there’s a disconnect, I think you’re perceiving the world as you are. So you yourselves have values, standards, and would never act on all that anger, would never radicalize, and yet it happens all the time. @insanity Rollo makes lots of references to Robert Greene’s “48 Laws of Power”. Greene’s basic principle of power is self-control (kind of like the apostle Paul, dontchaknow?). Anger exists, but a man whose mental point of origin is himself must seek power (“the kingdom of God is power, love, and a sound mind”) to accomplish his mission and that power-seeking will be undermined if he lets his emotions control him. A man learns to use his anger to help accomplish his mission. Yeah, I know, we don’t reference the Bible much, but the biblical principles of power are very much… Read more »

A lack of power is what inhibits so many men from changing their lives for the better…hence, Greene’s book is so useful, especially his basic teaching to control one’s emotions and not let our emotions control us men. Mens’ frequent lack of control of their anger causes them to behave inappropriately, especially as regards failing shit tests and responding effectively to things like cuckolding. For example, a friend I know is letting his anger and insecurity drive his behavior as regards a woman of interest. Supposedly, she has agreed to exclusivity, but he correctly suspects that she is cheating, but… Read more »

Women start about half of all domestic violence. Of course, they are damaged more often than men are because men are so much stronger. I blame the Strong, Independent Woman ™ trope for this. I sure as hell wouldn’t start a fight with a man who is twice as strong as I am. Maybe women are just stupid?

I was disappointed to hear Rollo say that he doesn’t like how men are using the term ‘red pilled’ in things outside of the sexual evo-psych realm. This strikes me as very short sighted and selfish. I think it’s great that men are seeking to red pill themselves in ALL areas of life. Whether it’s about sexual nature, economics, race, spirituality, or food; it’s wonderful to see men striving to uncover Truths.
