– a regular current affairs show on Australian TV called ‘Q&A’ recently discussed the ‘epidemic’ of domestic violence against women in Australia. Of course the entire show was based on skewed & unrepresentative data (two or three ‘surveys’ from the Australia Bureau of Statistics cited in conjunction with crime reports) that show only victimization of women, & not a single mention of any research into perpetration rates by women against men, while over 1700 peer-reviewed papers demonstrate equal rates of perpetration, at the very least. Nevertheless, what struck me was that when the ‘public’ discusses domestic violence against women, inevitably some feminist man or woman will trot out the “it takes 3-5 attempts for women in a domestic violence situation to leave the abusive partner” line. I can’t even call this a statistic as the very nature of this statement appears flawed from the outset. Ironically, just as when a woman wants you to fuck her she will find a way to facilitate the opportunity for this to happen, it rarely, if ever takes more than a single ‘attempt’ for a woman to leave a man her hypergamy decides is no longer her best option. When she decides the relationship is over, texts are ignored, calls not returned, and she will display the finest disappearing act her now ex-lover is ever likely to see. Another illustration of how the all-pervading societal feminine imperative demands that women are absolved of all agency & responsibility, except where it might benefit them.

On another point, & doubtless I’ve read about this in one of your posts, in what capacity were you providing counsel to men seeking help in the past? Having had my life changed profoundly by what I’ve learnt reading & applying your material & others’, I’m interested in pursuing this in a professional sense, with an informed & evidence based ‘red pill lens’ applied to the necessary study. While I tend to cringe at the MRA ‘counselors’ who seem filled with butt-hurt anger, I’m sure that lives could be saved with a more proactive approach. Any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I basically agree with Sun Wukong here, for the record.

My tribe is the men around me, supporting me – the people who pursue goals congruent to mine, who will mutually fight and sacrifice for each other, who give and receive in equal measure. I can’t conceive giving a fuck what their racial background is if they fulfill those requirements. I haven’t looked into it at all, but I’m open to hard data on racial differences in various traits if they exist or if they don’t – but only as an academic curiosity. I’m interested in individuals, not averages.

I think you understand this, but the mistakes everyone here displaying racial bigotry are quite simple:

You’re driving away men who could use this advice by creating a “whites only” clubhouse, when those are men who could use the help just as much as you can. In doing so, you drive off potential allies in changing society for what many of us perceive as the better. While what we discuss here isn’t a movement in an explicit form, it is (as I’ve heard Rollo describe it in interviews) a “bottom up” change of society.

Every man we bring here and help is a source of that change. Every minority man driven away by racist rantings is a lost ally. Every sane individual driven away by lunatic conspiracy theorist rantings is a lost ally.

I know that in the ‘sphere there’s a lot of anger, a lot of extremist right wing types, and with that will come racism. I expected it to be boiling right under the surface. But I expected them to keep that aspect of themselves in check as it has no place in the discussions here. It brings nothing to the table. It contributes nothing to the discussion anymore than many of my political views do.

I understand your anger as I’ve dealt with ugly aspects of racism repeatedly in my life, but I also understand Rollo’s desire for handling things his way. We can’t change the minds of any of the racists here, but we also hurt only ourselves if we storm off and leave our voices out of this discussion. This is one of the few places in the ‘sphere that doesn’t devolve routinely in to a festering cesspool of angry white whining about minorities.

As I see it Rollo’s been pretty clear he’ll shut it down if this becomes routine or people start trying to soapbox about their own agendas, including racism and the like. I consider that a fair view of it. Let’s trust him to handle things.

If you really want to argue about race and jews then go ahead but you will have to use actual arguments. Using the same tactics that women/feminists/blue pillers use (shaming, name calling, censor requests, physical threats, demonstrating ego investment etc) is probably going to have the opposite effect.

Overall it would probably be best if the site stays focused on intergender relationships because focusing on a narrower subject will lead to more depth in the actual discussion.

Also, threatening and trying to pressure Rollo is just damn low.

For the record, I lean heavily towards the “racist, anti-semite” side but I’m not here to discuss or promote my political beliefs.

I also dispute the identification with da GBFM. He may well be some sort of English Lit teacher, whereas Onan here is a self-confessed lawyer.

When I was a little kid, part of my four-and-a-half-year old’s two mile walk back from the village school (all ages up to leaving age, 14) was through the scary christmas trees round the house. Not much alive in there, apart from crows and an owl. And a stoat. Which sat up on a stump right by the road to look at me, and sort of connected somehow. After that I was always wondered what it would be like if animals could talk.
