It could be faithfulness, exclusivity, thoughtfulness, forgiveness. This statement shows that hypergamy requires the man to sacrifice his full market potential too. And do it so a woman can exceed her market potential. But it’s not possible for most women to achieve this because there aren’t enough higher value men to make the sacrifice. And not all of the higher value men are going to be willing to make the sacrifice. So, this statement of hypergamy cannot be satisfied for most women, even though many may brag among themselves that they have achieved it.
