I enjoyed reading your "I'm awake" comment. There were bits in there that I can't directly relate to. Thanks for sharing.

@Dr. Illusion

"The only way to mate guard is to be a bad ass mate."

I have been thinking about mate guarding recently. And the quote above illustrates what I believed to be true.

I never liked the mindset of, "Hey chief, eyes on your own paper", jealous type of behavior. I'll admit though that I have done that in the past. It didn't feel right.

"You can’t blame a fish for swimming, you can’t blame a woman for trading up. That’s all there is to it."

I'm with you on that one. Although, to be honest, I never used to think like that. That's because I was oblivious to some basic female nature.

Some questions:

Is mate guarding biological or a social creation? Perhaps a mix of both?

If it's social, can we condition it out of our systems to the point where it doesn't exist?

If it's biological, and we can't get rid of it, how can we deal with jealousy within a ltr?

Are there any people here that are in open-relationships? If so, how do you deal with jealousy?

(For the married men, including you too Rollo) Are there any feelings of jealousy within your relationships? Has there ever been?

After writing these questions it got me thinking. Jealousy might be a deeper psychological issue that, people who experience it, might need to look into. Myself included. I'm incapable of articulating just exactly what I mean. Maybe you guys can help me pull it out of my brain.
